Twice now cars have just not shown up. I contacted Veezu to be told that the taxi drivers are self employed and can just decide to dump a job. However VEEZU will not let you know that the car isn't coming so you just get a searching for a car and an ETA of under a minute. This makes the service completely unreliable. It used to be excellent but now it cannot be trusted at all . I have asked them to contact their software developers so clients can at least be messaged to say the car isn't coming. BEWARE!!!!
Both trips to and from the location were pleasant. The drivers were on time and booking was straightforward. However, one driver was quite rude when informing us that our dog couldn't travel. She made a scene about some water on her seats and claimed the dog had scratched them. A more polite approach would have been appreciated instead of shouting at us.
The driver was respectful, supportive, and attentive. A truly wonderful young man who arrived on time. I hope to have him drive us home again. He picked us up from a location in Leeds for the airport. Thank you for the service at 6 am today.
Extremely disappointing service on New Year's Eve. We had scheduled a cab for 12:30 with two young children. There was no communication from the service. I called at 12:38 and was told the cab would arrive in about 25 minutes. I received a missed call at 1:26, and when I replied at 1:30, they asked if we still needed the cab. I confirmed, and they said it would be 15 more minutes. I called again at 2:00, 2:15, 2:24, and 2:40, and was told each time that a cab was on the way. Finally, at 2:40, they admitted they had no cab available, so we ended up canceling. Given that we had rebooked for a short trip and were paying £30, I cannot recommend this service at all. It was both incompetent and dishonest.
There have been multiple instances of delayed driver assignments, even when the taxi was booked several hours in advance and a reminder call was made one hour prior. The service has proven to be completely inept.
I arranged for a 7-seater an hour ahead of time. It indicated that if a 7-seater wasn't available, two cars would be sent instead. However, 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival, I had to cancel as no car had been found. We were close to missing our train, but thankfully our neighbor helped with half of our group, and we ordered an express taxi that arrived in 5 minutes. The driver was very friendly and got us to the station just in time. Now, I have to contest the charge for the pre-booking. Overall, not a satisfying experience.
We arranged a taxi two weeks ahead for a pick-up after our work event in a busy city. After waiting for 15 minutes with no sign of the taxi, we called to inquire. They assured us it was on the way and would arrive in 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes passed with still no taxi, so we called again, only to be told it would be just 1 minute. After waiting another 5 minutes and attempting to call once more, we discovered they had blocked our number. Stranded in an unfamiliar and crowded area, we had to stand in a taxi queue for over an hour to get home. This service is utterly unacceptable.
I pre-booked a taxi through the app for 08:00 am on Monday for a hospital appointment at 09:00, as I couldn't drive due to an eye examination. I checked the app frequently, but it wasn't until 07:50 that it indicated it was searching for a car. I had allowed an hour for a 15-minute ride. By 08:20, I called the office since the app still showed it was searching, and I was told they were busy and I was next in line. At 08:40, with no car in sight, I had to cancel both the appointment and the ride. I’m not impressed, especially since I booked well in advance. There’s definitely room for improvement.
The taxi did not show up in time to catch the scheduled bus for the airport. The bus was set for 5:40, and we had booked the taxi for 5:10. Despite booking 30 minutes in advance, there was no monitoring, and we were extremely disappointed. I will likely avoid booking again. The new management does not seem to prioritize good service. We had been using a previous service for 20 years without issues.
