When you click on the link, you are greeted with "Wait! Are you a Recruiter? Flow mingo AI Interviewer can help you interview all your candidates 100% Free, Forever" advertisement." which leads to the conclusion that it's spam.

Not a good business practice.

Great Interview Experience, But Serious Privacy Concerns

While I was impressed with the interview process and how the UI, onboarding, workflow, and AI features worked, I did not like that Flowmingo used my synced Gmail inbox to send unsolicited job applications to recruiters around the world for communications roles. I became concerned when I noticed emails being sent on my behalf every hour or so. Once I revoked the permissions, the emails stopped. This behavior raised major privacy and trust issues for me.

A useful tool if you’re serious about fixing first-round interviews

I’ve been in recruiting for a few years and was honestly pretty skeptical about “AI interview tools” at first. Most of them either feel like fancy chatbots or create more work than they save.Flowmingo AI has been one of the few tools that actually reduced my busywork instead of adding to it. We’ve been using it as a free, async first-round AI interviewer to screen candidates before they talk to a human, and it’s changed how we handle volume roles.Although it still takes a bit of setup the first time and requires a stable connection & basic tech comfort from candidates, it’s absolutely worth trying if you’re a recruiter or hiring manager who’s drowning in first-round screening calls.

This whole process felt off

This whole process felt off, and I believe it may be an elaborate scam.I received an email inviting me to take an interview within a three-day window. I clicked the link on day three. After entering some details and uploading my résumé, I was offered a “prep interview.” There were two options: a “Premium interview prep” for $3 and a free version. That immediately raised a red flag, so I chose the free option.The free prep was a 90-second video (played at 1.5–2× speed) explaining what to expect. I then clicked “Begin Interview.”The first question asked me to enter my country, simple enough. But after I submitted my answer, the page wouldn’t load. I retried six or seven times. My internet connection was fine, I even kept a YouTube video playing in the background to confirm it. After 20 minutes of failed attempts, I gave up and closed the interview, assuming the whole thing was designed to funnel people into paying the $3.That wasn’t the end.I attempted the interview on October 22, 2025. Then, on October 28, I received an email stating my interview was successful. The first line read:“Thank you for participating in the Flowmingo interview. Among all, you’ve been selected to join as a Flowmingo Partner!”Keep in mind: I never completed the interview.Overall, this experience smells, and I would not recommend anyone engage with it.

Avoid these cowboys like the plague

This cowboy company chucks adverts all over the world. The interview is shite and it's just a scam to get people to help the company improve its AI system, and these cowboys get this done for free! You'll be wasting your time if you have anything to do with their initial crappy AI scam email.

SLOW, just so SLOW

The interview process is incredibly slow and devoid of personality and charisma.Furthermore you can feed the AI an incredible amount of nonsensical gibberish and it will still response.The replies from the AI itself is delayed and can take up to 2mins+ to "assess your submitted conversation, between each question.Also worth noting they do not pay their interns and employees, they use them to train their AI on a "commission basis" much like a pyramid scheme.Yet another exploitative "CEO" wannabe.

Not Recommended: Poor Experience and Unresponsive CommunicationI recently had a disappointing experience with this company and feel compelled to share it to help others make informed decisions. I responded to an email from the company and submitted a video interview through their platform, which took significant time and effort to prepare. Unfortunately, after submitting, I received no confirmation that my video was received, and the submission seemed to disappear without a trace.Concerned, I followed up via the same email thread to ask if they had received my video. Instead of addressing my question, I received multiple marketing emails from the company, including messages that appeared to come from a senior representative. Despite my repeated attempts to get a clear answer about my submission, I only received more promotional content and vague responses that didn’t address my concerns. This lack of transparency and failure to confirm receipt of my video left me frustrated and questioning the company’s professionalism.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The process felt disorganized, and the lack of clear communication was highly disappointing. I urge others to approach with caution and consider alternative options.
