Review Time
My friend and I had a flight scheduled for November 5, 2025, from a city in India to a city in Germany with a certain airline that claims to be the best. On October 4, 2025, we received an email from the service provider stating that our flight was cancelled. We were given two options: take a different flight at 3:40 AM on the same date or receive a full refund. We opted for the refund. WE STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT. Here's what has transpired since October 2025: 1. Countless emails and phone calls to both the service provider and the airline.
2. Both parties have been shifting responsibility.
3. The airline claims they issued a full refund on October 28, 2025.
4. A voucher number was provided by them.
5. This voucher number was sent to the service provider.
6. The usual responses have been 'please be patient', 'we understand your frustration', 'the airline is not responding'.
7. They promise to respond in 48 hours, but they never do. In response to this review, they will likely promise to reply in 48 hours again. They probably won't follow through, and if they do, it will just be 'we understand your frustration, please be patient, the airline is not responding', and so on... We felt compelled to file a complaint with the relevant aviation authority in Germany. We are also consulting with our lawyer. Both of us lead very busy lives with work and family commitments, including caring for a 90-year-old. We simply do not have the time for this. Shame on both of these companies!!!
I booked a very expensive flight and reviewed the information carefully. A week before the flight, I noticed three errors in the passenger details. One was completely incorrect (they automatically took a name based on my login), and both surnames were merged as if they were one word. I contacted the service, but despite being a German company (.de), the customer service was only in English from an Indian-sounding call center. The company refused to acknowledge the mistake and asked if I had a screenshot of my booking prior to sending (who does that?). They claimed they couldn't do anything because it was a codesharing flight. I called the flight company, who confirmed that they operate the flight entirely, with no codesharing. The company is the only one allowed to make changes, except within 48 hours of the flight. Very disappointing; if I can't travel, I will demand a refund and consider legal action.
