I purchased a gazebo from this company. I was told I’d be able to put this up on my own. I could not do it. So I purchased a compact frame which seemed fine until we tried to put the gazebo up and even with the help of 2 market managers and other experienced market traders it was a struggle. The legs kept coming off, I injured myself in the process of taking it down. Then at 2 separate markets had continuous problems & the manager there said it’s terrible and never to use Gala Tent again. The frame isn’t at all sturdy when the gazebo is up even with heavy weights on each leg. I have emailed gala tent and told them I shall make a complaint and also leave a negative review and this was their response ‘ We have your threatening behaviour recorded on our telephone system and you are ordered to cease and desist any further unlawful activity.As a precaution Gala Tent now action a cease-and-desist order letter which is attached, a copy has been sent to our solitors. You must respond to avoid any action against you by the authorities.It was not a telephone call so that is incorrect so I’m presuming they have had telephone complaints from others a lot to already have a letter drafted up!! They also attached a threatening letter. I have spent around £725 on the first gazebo which I was told I should be able to put it up on my own which was a joke. Then spent an additional £346.99 on the compact frame which the legs kept coming off and they had already sent a replacement leg which didn’t resolve the problem. I’m actually in shock and this isn’t good for my mental health. Also ignore the ‘warranty’ they say come with the gazebo it means nothing to them. Please beware. Also noticed they can’t even spell solicitors correctly. Here is the other threatening letter from them. Dear Jenny 1. This CEASE-AND-DISIST ORDER is to inform you that if you persist actions including but not limited to threatening to leave a damaging review unless Gala Tent agrees to your unreasonable demands. YOU ARE ORDERED TO STOP such activities are aviolation of the law. .. Gala Tent has the right to remain free from these activities as they constitute toharassment, duress and blackmail. Gala Tent will pursue all legal litigation 3. Again you must IMMEDIATELY STOP and respond in writing that you will STOP such activities. You risk incurring some very severe legal consequences and litigation costsif you fail to comply with this demand. •. This letter acts as a final waming before Gala Tent pursues legal litigation proceedings against you. At this time no contact has been made to the authorities orfiling a civil lawsuit against you.5. Gala Tent hopes to resolve any issues and concerns without involving the authorities. Gala Tent does not under any circumstances waive any legal rights or future legalremedies by sending you this letter.6. THIS ORDER ACTS AS A FINAL CHANCE TO CEASE YOUR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIESPlease avoid
Having bought our PVC 6x4m marquee in 2021 it stood firm though wind and weather until a freak snow/ice storm in Nov 2024. A large tree branch fell on top and caved it in. However, despite destroying most of the poles, the PVC roof and sides remained intact.I ordered new metalwork at a very good price and it was despatched the same day. Brilliant firm to deal with etc etc.
Service and quality and after sales experience was good also the fact if you wish to go and see the quality and how tents and gazebos work you can just ring up and ask . One thing that they do need to sort out is an area on site to show off everything properly and invite customers down on a Saturday when they maybe not working
OUTSTANDING!! I bought a 3m x 3m ‘pop-up’ gazebo with the ‘Pro-40’ frame. Before the purchase the company was easy to call(they even had a call back service if there was a queue). The guy was super friendly and helpful and clearly passionate about their design and build of the gazebos. I replaced an old traditional pop-up with a thin flimsy square steel frame, and the new one is super strong 40mm hexagon aluminium. It’s SO solid!! Clearly over-engineered to cope with the elements and designed to last. Despite its obvious strength it’s still light and easy to lift. Although it should probably be put by 2 people, I managed it on my own with a bit of ‘wiggling’ to get the frame extended upwards and outwards. The cover was then secured using the central fastener, strong anti-slip Velcro on the corners and some tightening buckle straps in the middle of the beams. My old gazebo had some rubbish push-in dome pins to adjust the height of the legs that were hard to get at but this has chunky ring pulls that are sprung. Perfect!I’m so impressed with this gazebo. Although it’s just for my garden I’ve seen Gala Tents branding used by lots of market stall holders too, and now I know why. It’s also nice to see a British company producing something so good. Well done Gala Tent. 🏆
