We called them out yesterday , as I forgotten my key. Stated on phone £50. He then charged me £235.20 total. £160 to drill the lock then £36.00 emergency services & £39.20 vat in total £235.20 It is absolutely disgusting. I was on my own & they saw how distressed I was. Then he proceeded to sell me another lock the same for &£175.00. Day light robbery. I said no.
Fradulent scam. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Massively overcharged by this scam company for an 'Astra' branded lock during an emergency. Charged £800 for a simple euro cylindar lock replacment. Putting this on here in the hope that it helps someone else. If you search for Astra locks online you see that this is a common scam. Don't fall for it, and if you do please please report these f*£k$rs to trading standards becuase it's happening to other people too, the more people that report them the better.
SCAMMERS.. most definitely do not use these thieves quoted £50 (around)..Total= just under £600.. job took 5/10 mins, for a new barrel and 3 keys, cheap nasty keys…said they would get to me in half hour it was 3 hours before they turned up told me he had a puncture on the way !! Why did I pay - I’m a girl on my own I had no clue so I was easy prey ,
Rogue rip off company , if I ever see him again I would love to have a chat , son got locked out in Brighton on a Sunday , we panicked called these quoted £59 on the phone , he came drilled out the lock , replaced and charged £316 !!! Total bandits please please avoid .
My daughter got locked out and called these people. When they came they told her that it wasn't a simple job and lock had to be drilled etc. She told them she wanted the cheapest job possible as she lives alone on a budget. In the end she rang me in tears saying the man was demanding £742 + VAT = £890.40. When I saw the invoice it was broken down as 1) emergency locksmith to open door by drill £1892) New front security system with 5 keys £3653) Labour to fit £994) Emergency weekend visit fee £89It took longer to pay him than the work done!! Absolute rip off. I shall be reporting to Trading Standards and Action Fraud.
Total rip off - do not use this company. Charged over £900 to change and locking mechanism and lock and then when questioned told that it’s because genuine parts of been used. The guy doing the repair had to send a message on a WhatsApp group in order to get a price.
Absolute rip off, trading on people's misery. Quoted £49 on the phone for call out and simple entry. Arrived and had the lock drilled out and door open in less than three minutes and then charged me £141 on top for the drilling. Then he adds VAT - total bill £228. Expected to pay up to £75 but this is daylight robbery. Licensed bandits. If you find yourself locked out or in an emergency, take a deep breath and check reviews before booking. These people have a bad reputation. I should have checked. Do not use them.
