The knife has a great design and feels nice in hand, but the angle of the thick blade isn't suitable for cutting vegetables. I typically rely on a chef's knife for that. Today, while trying to fit a small lamb's leg into my slow cooker, I needed to cut through the bone and thought this knife, with its heavy blade, would work like a cleaver. Unfortunately, it just chipped the blade, and now I'm worried I might have lost some sharp metal pieces in the food.
I encountered the worst customer service imaginable. From the outset, the responses were evasive and untruthful. I returned their product weeks ago and have proof of delivery, yet they continue to claim they haven't received it. After mistakenly ordering a leather sheath instead of a knife, I reached out for clarification. Despite my request to switch the order to a knife, they refused. I then asked for a cancellation, which was also denied. When I emailed to cancel under the distance selling act, they claimed it couldn't be done as the order was being processed. However, I received a dispatch notification just two days later, indicating they could have easily canceled it. I attempted to initiate a return and received no response, leading me to dispute it with the payment service. Shortly after, they provided return instructions. I ensured the item was unopened and in perfect condition for the return. The initial issue arose when the delivery service had trouble accessing their address. After two weeks, the parcel was delivered, and I kept the payment service updated throughout. Yet, two weeks after confirmation of delivery, they claimed they still hadn't received the parcel back! Their actions clearly violate consumer rights, and their dishonesty is astonishing. I’ve provided all necessary details, including the order number, and they continue to be evasive. They have the product back—it's time for them to stop the nonsense and inform the payment service.
I was hesitant to buy another expensive knife because the last one I got was $80 and it lost its edge in like two months. But the Huusk is totally different, I mean I tried to slice a super ripe tomato and it just slid right through without any squishing and my wife she could not believe it. We cooked a huge roast last night and the cuts were so clean it really resolve the issue of having ragged meat whenever we serve guests.
This knife is crazy comfortable for real I was gonna get hand cramps every time I prepped veggies for stew because my old knife handle was too small. The curved handle of the Huusk is perfect I can rock it easy and my knuckles stay clear of the board which is awesome. The weight feels balanced and you definitely get a pro feel without having to spend a ton of money so if you like to cook a lot you should buy this now.
Really low quality knife. Does have a sharp edge out the box but rapidly blunts. The handle feels cheap and unfinished - certainly not oak. When you look at the blade the grinding is inconsistent with parts being heavily ground and others being thinly. In terms of the metal it’s very low quality low carbon steel, certainly not Japanese steel. In fact made in china. In my opinion save your money and buy a better knife
The advert on the telly makes them look like mini samurai swords. They are supposed to cut through most things fast. What a con. Tried to cut a tomato like they do on the telly. The knife is not very sharp at all. It's not as advertised. Its a pathetic blunt knife. I would not buy this product again.
Knife and shief bought as a present, knife is so blunt it will not cut tomatoes or indeed any other vegetables, it is as sharp as a stick. Save your money and avoid disappointment like me.Purchased through Amazon by Mrs Wendy Crowley Order number 026-0048958-4448375Order number 026-7988654-0594739
