Food was delicious. Went to the Stratford upon Avon restaurant with 6 friends for dinner. Was seated very fast but we had to wave a server over after 15 minutes of sitting to order drinks. A little disappointed they didn’t have a gluten free menu but my friend was able to use her app and find what she could order. Service was very slow but food was amazing so would recommend.
Giggling Squid Norwich is a very pretty restaurant with friendly attentive staff. No complaints there then we come to the food. Our guests were happy with theirs but ours was dreadful. I eat Papaya salad in every Thai I go to here and anywhere in the world. This one turned up in a small bowl and the only indication that there was any Papaya in there were a few tiny orange slivers. The salad was very hot but I accept that as that can differ but I never had one with horrible tasting slimy dressing on before. I ate some of it left the rest. The main course was equally bad and I think it had the same dressing on it. Oily and awful. We ordered the Butterfly Prawn dish. Three overcooked prawns presented themselves atop a lot of very greasy awful noodles. Quite nasty. If we had been just the two of us I would have sent the lot back. We won't go again and that's a shame as it is a lovely restaurant but you don't go to a restaurant to look at the decor. That's an added plus. Shame on the owners.
Absolute waste of money. Food was awful especially the green Thai curry which tasted of fairy liquid. Woke up during the night with terrible indigestion from the food. Also £11 for a glass of vino that was a £5 bottle of cheap wine, way too expensive! Tunbridge wells restaurant
Food excellent and friendly staff, food on time i love the place especially the decoration the Filipino staff and others are very polite and friendly i really love to come back again and the price not expensive i can't wait to come back again very satisfying food. Salisbury Giggling squid branch highly recommended.free Birthday surprise too.
I ordered two Beef Massamans from the Farnham branch through Deliveroo. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Both of them didn’t contain any cashew nuts and the beef was extremely fatty. No reply from customer service. Definitely will not be using them again, poor quality food and high prices.
Very disappointed. Some of us were still eating our starters when they cleared some starter plates, we were still eating our starters and they brought out the mains!. No one checked if everything was ok or did we need more drinks. After the main the table was cleared, no offer of more drinks, desert menu. They just tied round us and ignored us. In the end I went to the till and requested the bill. Very poor service.
Giggling Squid Harpenden- I went with my family and one of us has a bad reaction to anything warmed or cooked (in microwave, Air Fryer, halogen oven) we have explained to my server about this and they went to check for us to the manager and then came back and said the most of the food is warmed up in the microwave after it’s been cooked and there wasn’t really much choices to avoid the bad reaction and felt disappointed that a restaurant like this don’t cook from fresh and it’s over priced for microwaved warmed up food my server was amazing and always came to check everything was ok and going well for us the restaurant was clean and welcoming for the price for the items on the menu was made from fresh with the prices they had what a disappointing I’m definitely not going back to any locations of giggling squid
I had never been to a Giggling Squid restaurant although I love Thai food, so when the opportunity arose to visit the Windsor restaurant, I jumped at it. I ordered the cashew vegetable curry thinking that for £13.50, I would be reasonably satisfied without needing an additional side for an extra £4.00. Alas how wrong I was. Two miniature broccoli florets and a couple of strips of red pepper. The four small mouthfuls were tasty but the value and worth of this dish, left an incredibly sour taste. I emailed customer services but a week on, no response. Hasten to add, I shall not return or indeed visit any further branch.
