After initial hiccoughs with hand over from the auction house it went smoothly and within the 28 days quoted. My only irritation was the pointless app which was never updated during those 28 days leading me to believe no progress was being made. But I can't fault the conveyancer herself who was always available via direct dial and kept me informed as we went.
Being a senior person I found the whole experience quite traumatic. There were so many forms to fill in and the first pack had over 130 questions. There’s nothing that can beat a face to face experience. However, Faith the conveyancer who looked after my case was excellent, she was very kind and empathetic and always put me at ease. The week before I legally completed Faith went on holiday and my telephone calls didn’t get returned until a lady called Kate stepped in. She was great and kept me informed even after completion. If you are happy to sit and complete hundreds of questions on an app there is no reason not to use this company. If I was ever to move house again I would definitely deal with a solicitor where you can go inside and speak to them face to face.
We were in a particularly tricky chain and Emily Knill was just so good at keeping on the ball, offering us updates and chasing people down. Thank you all for your support, it’s been a long ride but without your help, we’d still be waiting!
Emily and Rachel were great, but the app is iffy.The initial conveyancing information is gathered via an application. The app is clunky, non-intuitive, and often doesn't provide enough options to make the process a smooth one, otherwise it would have been a 5-star rating.Once a human takes over, namely Emily Knill, the process is much smoother. Emily was a gem; she is efficient, always communicates without delay, and will field any questions. Rachel should also get a mention, since she often answered my questions. Thanks!
