It's impossible to do a pension forecast from overseas due to over the top of verification process on the gov gateway site. I Had to call and request a form to be posted which takes 4 weeks, then post back and wait another few weeks to get a forecast sent by post This whole process should take just a few minutes if it could be done online. Totally unacceptable UK gov. Make it easier not harder for us seniors,!

Web chat absolutely useless and a complete waste of time

Wasted half an hour submitting every piece of personal information under the sun, to ask why my driving licence couldn't be renewed online when ID was verified. Agent seemed incapable of any kind of intelligent response and just left the chat without even having the manners to say goodbye. The whole experience was highly intrusive and frustrating. Then they have the cheek to tell you to treat their agents politely , when you do so excessively, you still get rudely binned off so maybe they should practice what they preach?

apparently i do not exist

try to verify my ID had the same bank details for 50 years lived in the same house for 40 years but still can not prove i exist. help line no help just goes round in circles i tried to phone but when they could not help they just put the phone down what i liked was the next day i received a satisfaction survey to fill in which i did but i assume because it did not praise them they would not let me send it

Frustratingly wasted of 2hrs of my life I couldn't get the QR code on my gov account to link to the app on my gov ID app on my phone.

Useless ID verification process

The ID verification process is terrible. If the app fails to verify you, you are stuffed. We contacted the gov helpdesk and were told the only option was to use an ACSP. We contacted a number of these who said they only provide this service for their clients. This effectively leaves us out of options.
