My son's birthday celebration was a complete disaster.

My son's 3rd birthday celebration here was a complete disaster. The children were left in tears. The host failed to introduce himself and didn’t guide anyone on where to go or what to do. I ended up having to manage everything myself, trying to organize parents and kids without any assistance. We only learned who the host was at the end when we questioned the chaos and lack of organization. Guests had to prompt the host to sing happy birthday because he quietly brought out the cake. The venue is not at all suitable for kids. Party food was left unattended, and no one informed us when it was time to eat, resulting in the children eating separately. We were told to clean our own table for the birthday cake, which was humiliating as guests thought I hadn’t made a booking, despite having pre-booked. Brownies and ice cream that were promised and prepaid never arrived, leaving the kids in tears. Due to the delays and confusion, we have no group photos of the children, and my son has no memories from his special day. My son, who has autism, was particularly distressed by the disorganization. He cried because he couldn’t understand why the promised treats never came. The children left hungry, overwhelmed, and upset. I spent £245 for an experience that caused real emotional distress. I’m still receiving messages from other parents who feel sorry for how poorly the party went. The worst part is that I thought the customer service would address our concerns, but the supervisor just smirked when I explained the situation. When I contacted the manager the following day, she denied everything. Instead of an apology, she claimed the staff didn’t view the host as unhelpful, even though he instructed guests to clean the tables. None of the staff accepted responsibility or provided satisfactory customer service. I would never return or recommend this venue for a children's party, as they do not take accountability for their poor service. I am still upset two days later. Please consider other options for your children; they deserve a joyful and memorable experience.

Disappointing experience due to poor service

I had a disappointing experience at this arcade. Two of my coins were taken by a machine, and I did not receive the promised service. When I sought help, the manager refused to assist or refund the coins and turned me away. I found her communication abrupt and unprofessional. Customers should not be treated this way, especially when a machine is clearly at fault. I would not recommend this place based on how this issue was handled.

Serious health and safety concerns

We attended for my son’s 11th birthday with friends and their parents. We had booked an afternoon of bowling, food, and karting. What was meant to be a special day turned into a nightmare. Firstly, bowling was delayed by about 20 minutes. We then waited around 40 minutes for food to arrive after ordering (from a very limited menu with many pizzas out of stock). The worst experience was during the junior karting. We were under the impression that the junior karts would have the track to themselves for the booked slot. Unfortunately, the same time slot was also occupied by at least 5 other karts, including two adult karts (not accompanied by children). One adult driver was aggressive and crashed into my son and a friend, causing shock and minor injury. We complained to staff, and thankfully, that driver was removed. It is concerning that adult drivers were allowed on the same track at the same time as children. This is a serious health and safety issue!

Not suitable for children with special needs

If I could give zero stars, I would. This venue isn’t accommodating for children with special needs. My son had multiple meltdowns after a staff member kept shouting at him for not having his paper tag. I explained he has sensory issues, and my other children had their tags, but the staff member was still very rude. They need to be properly trained to work with children and learn how to communicate respectfully. It’s not a cheap outing, and for my son to say it was the worst day is heartbreaking.

Extremely poor visit

The visit was extremely poor. Management and staff were unhelpful and unwilling to assist. They seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers. It's disappointing as the venue has great potential.

Disrespectful staff and poor service

On Tuesday afternoon, I attended the climbing area with my daughter for the 14:45 session. I was asked to complete a waiver form at check-in, and while staff were initially helpful, the experience soon became uncomfortable. There was an unpleasant smell at the booth, and the digital waiver took around 10 minutes to load. When I pointed out issues, one team member took my phone multiple times without consent. I was told to add my 'son' as a minor, despite her clearly feminine name and appearance. Staff repeatedly referred to her as my son, which was frustrating and disrespectful. My daughter, who is sensitive, felt uncomfortable and rushed through the activity. We left after about 20 minutes. While some staff were excellent, others displayed poor listening and dismissive behavior. I overheard gossip among staff about the incident, which added to the discomfort. This situation had a negative emotional impact on both of us and led to a loss of confidence in the staff's professionalism.

Fantastic experience at Edinburgh Gravity Active

Edinburgh Gravity Active is the best place with an amazing team! I visit every Friday, and I highly recommend it. It's so much fun for kids, and parents can enjoy some time in the cafe. The team is incredibly supportive and friendly!

Great experience at Northampton Gravity

I had a great time at Northampton Gravity. A staff member was very thorough and explained the rules well. My little one seemed nervous, but the staff member was encouraging and communicated well. Thanks again; we will be visiting again. The only downside is the price, which is a bit high for three people.
