My accountant Nisha was extremely helpful in helping me complete my US expat taxes for the third year in a row. The platform itself is very intuitive and easy to use but the direct contact to your accountant to whom you can ask specific questions is the most helpful aspect of Greenback and why I will keep coming back. It’s very expensive, like all of these services but if you need help in filing your taxes, it needs to get done and I suggest doing it with greenback.
I was very satisfied with the direct support and guidance provided to me by the accountant assigned to me. He was knowledgeable and very responsive. However, he and I both had to deal with ongoing problems with the website failing to update his draft and final filing documents. Though the help desk were very responsive and professional, the problem persisted for over two weeks. I expect to use Greenback again next year.

I've done my own US taxes until now, first manually, then using a tax software package. Given the complexity of the tax code I've always been nervous about whether I've put the correct information in the right boxes.Having left paid employment near the end of 2024 and moving into retirement, I was keen to make sure my taxes were done right. I have investments in both the US and UK and it's tricky to report on these properly given the different fiscal years. I tried various accountancy firms in both countries, but foreign residency knowledge is hard to come by and the charges for those that claimed knowledge were extremely high.I then found a couple of online companies. I was naturally nervous about handing over sensitive financial information so did some research. Greenback seemed competent and trustworthy so I started the process.My assigned accountant has been wonderfully supportive from start to finish. He answered a range of questions and was able to guide me to the information I needed to provide. I felt he was careful, diligent and patient.The outcome is that I believe he has prepared an accurate and truthful return, keeping my individual circumstances in mind. That is a great comfort.
