3 MOORHENS HITCHINAbsolutely terrible. We opened a tab as it was our girly meet up and we were all turning up at different times. Firstly we received the nachos and it looked like the cheese sauce was lumpy, wanted a cuppa tea but they had no alternative milk so had to have green tea.Another friend turned up we decide to order lunch the queue at the bar was long so we booked it on line. The food took over an hour to get to us, in that time no one came to check on us, we had to go up and show the receipt and ask where the food was, and when the food did arrive it looke like it was half eaten.....especially when the guy next to us his plate was full.I feel really disappointed that the service and food on this occasion, you can do so much better than this. You really need to sort out management who can run the place properly.It was disturbing and disgusting service.
We’ve been to The Plank and Legit a few times as it’s nicer than my local greene king pub! We booked a table to have a meal as it should have been my nephews 1st heavenly birthday, so we went here as it’s usually a nice pub, we was shown to the table we ordered our food and was waiting 40 mins for it, when the food came to the table there was no apology on how long it had taken to get the food out, we had our starters and mains come out together and the starters were stone cold, we asked for them to be sent back again no apology of the server, the mains came out and they were cold and could tell by the fries that they had been out and left on a heater for a while, again asked for these to be taken back, the server didn’t apologise he just took the plates! When the food came back out there was a hair in my chips, a hair in my child’s sausages and a hair in another members food! No one came to ask if our food was ok. After we had eaten the table wasn’t cleaned for at least 35 mins and we had to ask for it to be cleaned and for them to bring my child’s desert out, which again was a wait and then to be told by a member of staff that a chef doesn’t start until 5pm. We then went to the play area, to be greated by a rude member of staff, who said the play area was full and that she couldn’t tell me how long the wait would be as she had just started her shift and didn’t know who was over there time in the area! I do want to give positive feedback about Kirsty who couldn’t have been more polite and helpful and is an asset to the pub.
Beechdale on Nottingham was one of my favourite pubs, I havnt been here for several months. After my visit today I will not be returning. The food is appalling I gave my corn back due to the first one not very appealing and the second one that came was cold on the middle. Some of the wings were not cooked thoroughly and the lasagne was burnt. The only edible thing was the side salad Mac and cheese and garlic bread
Rising Sun Gawsworth, ordered 2 x steak and ale pies with chips and veg. Both pies were just full of gristle and fat, we had to remove from our mouths with a napkin it was so disgusting we could not swallow, I paid full main menu price thinking I would get a nice pie. I complained to staff who just said okay. I was really disappointed.
Today (9/03/25) I visited Green king Ashby lodge at Scunthorpe, I go there regular for the carvery which is always outstanding ! I bought drinks from the bar which is unusual as I normally do it on my phone, I was served by a young bar tender who I have to say was WONDERFUL I’d had an especially horrid day and his smile and charm put a smile back on my face and made my day x
