As a pub chain they are I have to admit very good,Their App however is abominable,whilst easy to navigate,and pay,It's after payment the problems start,Even on a relatively quit day you wait on average 30 minutes for drinks,When busy ,You may as well not bother.
We visited greenking Hardy Pick Sheffield, the starter came in a basket only no plate underneath the Piri piri sauce was like tomato ketchup no heat at all, had to hunt for knifes at the other end of the Pub. Main course came, steak sizzler asked for medium rare came more medium well done may as well have asked for rare. Chicken tandoori well, super size food, I think not, so disappointed with the experience as a whole and will not be recommending this CHAIN PUB to any of my friends and family. Not worth the money or the experience.
JOHN & his team at the Hungry Horse Dudley are FANTASTIC. We celebrated my husbands 80th Birthday with family & friends there & had a WONDERFUL meal. All the staff were so polite & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. When we visit the Midlands we ALWAYS have a meal or two at this pub - you feel safe & know that you'll get a good meal, good drinks & happy, polite staff who look after you. Thank You
This review relates to the appalling Landlady at Tudor Arms Greene King pub in WatfordMichele RAsst Mngr was very goodBar Staff were goodDJ was excellentLandlady (Milly) a very unprofessional bullyFirst there was a customer in the bar threatening to stab other customers in front of my Grandchildren & nothing was done!We had family & friends travel far & wide to attend my Partners 60th birthday party. Unfortunately someone brought chips into the venue & this bag of chips ruined the party & was investigated for well over an hour. Compare that to the customer in the bar threatening to stab people or the trauma this caused my Granddaughter! My Partners family & myself were bombarded for over an hour. The were completely vindicated but were so upset they left before we got a chance to cut the birthday cake. This party of trouble makers mentioned in a later text I received from Milly included my Partner 87 year old Mother. Milly did say people frequently bring food in to the venue & in this case she threatened to shut the party down. Could I suggest that signs would make the position clear to all participants at events at this venue. I was called to Millys office where I noticed her scruffy jumper, smeared makeup & her demeanour that suggested that she was intoxicated. I underwent a torrent of abuse from her. She does not listen to customers I've noticed. We were subjected to her vileness again in the morning while clearing up, until I finally lost my temper with her & told her exactly what I thought about her appalling handling of the matter & the atrocious way she treats her staff. She carried on until I asked her to shut up & leave me alone. Milly is a horrible bully! She later sent me a text which is full of lies. We as a family are making complaints to the brewery.
I work for green king, love the customers love seeing them come back. But unfortunately they have made working there very stressful. The customers change their mind or the stock is not there and you make voids!! It can’t be helped but you as a bar person you are not allowed to do more than 2% of voids, it makes workers very anxious that you have to get it right almost 100% people make mistakes and so do customers. At the moment I do not like working there. If I get a void again over 2% I will be leaving. Not to have a big head or anything but the customers love me and new customers are coming back. Very unhappy with working for this company at the moment.. you are NOT ALLOWED to make a mistake!!
Family and I had brunch at the farmhouse in Exmouth today for my brother’s birthday. Wait time for food was exceptionally long however the food was delicious and great value! They only had one waitress serving food who was rushed off her feet because it was busy and we had a large party but she still made every effort to make sure we were kept updated on estimated wait times and checked in on us regularly! She also fetched the birthday cake we’d asked the bar staff to look after for us when we were ready for it too. Will be returning soon!
