My party of 20 and I stayed at Alward House Friday 20th-22nd September for my 30th birthday and it was honestly so perfect. The property is massive and we couldn’t even use all of the living rooms! The rooms are all so spacious and it’s a beautiful period property. I would definitely recommend. We made use of the ping pong table and tennis court but didn’t get the opportunity to use the pool due to our own itinerary. The kitchen is also fully stocked with all the utensils you could need. The caretaker, Ross, was also on hand at any time we needed help so that was very much appreciated. The only minor downsides were that because it’s a period property, there aren’t very many ceiling lights, so it gets quite dark inside at night, but in some ways it created a nice ambience. There are also no bins in any of the bathrooms, so you have to carry everything downstairs with you a lot more frequently than you might normally. We had also assumed the pool was in the back garden but it seemed it might be a communal space for other properties as it was at the beginning of the entrance of the drive which was a bit of a walk away. Overall I would definitely recommend, and have done so already!
From start to end had a great experience with Group Retreats. Stayed at Caer Beris Manor and would definitely recommend. Lovely sized bedrooms and lots of common spaces to gather with a large group but also has a couple of quiet spaces too. Kitchen was well equipped and more than suitable and we used it to make meals for our large group. Amazing grounds and lots of benches to take in the views and to relax. On arrival it was great to meet Chris & Nikki who made us feel at home straight away - thank you very much. Had a slight problem with the EV charger (possibly user error) but Chris & Nikki came to help and sorted it within a very short time. Thanks to the team at Group Retreats.
Three generations of family from 1yo to XXyo(!) had a truly memorable time at Milton House.Group Retreats have been excellent throughout, from booking to arrival instructions to checkout and post stay. Ross (from Group Retreats) met the first arrivers to ensure access (despite sending the keypad code very clearly so big this was already over and above) and was very helpful and incredibly responsive to all questions, whether dumb or not.The house itself was perfect for our size group (28). The rooms and beds are great - there were a few younger kids on sofa beds so whilst it does accommodate 30 this does include sofa beds - think we used 3 or 4 in our group.The pool and hot tub made a huge difference and got plenty of use. The games room is great although we didn’t use that much. We were blessed with good weather so able to sit outside and enjoy the gardens and outdoor space, of which there is plenty.The house was very well stocked - crockery, cutlery, loads of glasses, dishwasher, washing machine and the small gestures like dishwasher tablets, cloths, washing up liquid, full coffee and tea containers were brilliant. The games room was also stocked with working equipment and the tennis court had tennis balls available (we brought our own but again very nice touch).The welcome pack was very thoughtful and also made a difference to the whole feeling that this was a quality place and were being treated as valued customers.Some of us popped out to the local pub (<1mile away) but there was little need to leave the property.Even after we left, the housekeeping team and Group Retreats were quick to let us know we’d left a jacket and have offered to post it back to us - again great service from a quality company.Having email and phone numbers and named people is another huge plus - thanks to Rebecca for quick and helpful responses, plus able to give her a call without waiting in a queue for ages.Overall, a magical stay for the whole family, as it’s very rare all can get together.Thanks Group Retreats, we hope to be back soon either at Milton House or one of your other properties.
We stayed at Fawley Court for 3 nights and we loved every minute of the stay!! Everything was amazing from the size of the rooms to the kitchen amenities! All the bathrooms where of great size and the best part is the heated pool 24 hours! And the hot tub was icing on the cake!!!! We are looking to book again soon. It is the perfect place for a large group, there is games room, massive kitchens, so many living rooms which we couldn’t even use as we were too busy having a blast in the pool! Can’t recommend enough! Amazing property and service was great by groupretreats! Every bedroom had its own unique character and just beautiful.
Recently stayed at Caer Beris Manor. First thing that you notice is the well kept grounds on the approach to the Manor. Beautiful building spacious and with furniture to compliment the era,which made it welcoming. Areas fir group sitting and for those wanting a little quite space this was catered for in the layout, rooms are comfortable and spacious. We were a group staying at Caer Beris, kitchen is modern and has all equipment suitable for the stay. Outside enjoy the hot tub and grounds, peaceful sitting next to the river, or wander around the beautiful grounds. Friendly and warm staff. Would definitely recommend booking Caer Beris, we had a brilliant time.

We stayed at Ashfield Place Farm and it was so beautiful. Family loved it, the kids had such a good time, enjoyed playing in the pool. We had plans to go out and explore the town but we had such a good time, there was no need to go out, the place was massive. Just wanted to say thank you to the team.
