This was my third stay at Timberley Farm. My 7th stay with Group Retreats. Timberley Farm is spacious yet cosy. The living room is where it all happens. We had a log fire going, Christmas films on the TV, overlooking the South downs View. This place is stunning and has me wanting to go back already. Group Retreats are the perfect hosts. The house has everything you could possible need on arrival. Just add food and drink. I couldn't recommend Timberley Farm and Group Retreats any higher!!!!I will be booking again.
"Oh, my goodness, It amazing!!!"How can I describe it in words. It's been an indescribable experience!!!The two nights spent at Milton House gave our group unforgettable and beautiful memories.To better describe the experience of the two days at Milton House, it would be good to quote the children and teenagers who were in our group.When I parked my car in front of the door of the house around the fountain, the children who saw the house covered their lips with their hands and said admirably, “Oh my goodness”As soon as we opened the front door and walked in, there was an enormous Christmas tree beautifully decorated and almost simultaneously, we all said in amazement, “Oh, my goodness.”I took the children to their rooms and told them that this was your room, and I opened the door to the room, and again they said, "Oh my goodness."The kitchen was big and spacious. It was very convenient and had everything we needed.Before entering the dining room for dinner, I made the children wait. And when I opened the door, they saw beautiful dining room and prepared meals, they said once again “O my Goodness”The real party hadn't even started yet, but the people in our group were already full of happiness. I thought.... Elegantly, this is the power of such a lovely place!!!I felt proud of myself. Because that's the place I chose. I had a little strength in my shoulders. I purposely approached people and asked. “Is this place fine? “, people said. “It's amazing. How did you find a place like this?” I said with a slight smugness... “Hmmm... Took a lot of effort to find a good place. I'm so glad you guys like it”.The teenagers wanted to swim, so we went swimming. we were satisfied with all the facilities However I didn't know how to uncover the cover on the pool, so I called the manager, and he gave me answer right away. It was very easy, I just had to press a switch on the wall.At night, we had fun in the drawing room. (There were wonderful paintings and elegant curtains, a grand piano and again a beautiful sparkling Christmas tree. Everything was really well prepared.)There were the firewood and matches for the fireplace, but we did not use it because we had already enough good time and went to bed.Unfortunately, it rained all day the next day. In fact, I was going to play a game of tennis in the morning. So, I went to the game room. I played all morning, snooker, table tennis, darts, chess... The place was spacious enough for our group to use, and there was separated a cozy room as well, wow!It was a pity that it was raining, and we couldn't have a teatime in the garden. There were several places around the house where you could have a cup of tea with a good view. There was also a pond.However, there was a tearoom in the house and plenty of space, so we could have a good time even when it was raining. It didn’t matter what the weather was.Playing the piano in the drawing room and singing together was a charming experience for our group.If you stay in this house, I would like to say this before you book the house.The two-night stay will be too short!!! (You'll be tempted to stay longer seriously !!!) The house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of rooms with skilfully, beautifully touched and ample parking, good size of swimming pool, tennis court, huge game room, lovely pond and beautiful garden with lovely view. On top of that, the self-check in & out was so easy and convenient. Also, I am really impressed with people who work in group retreat. Their kindness and promptness and accuracy are another level. It was a really beautiful place!!!Even now, when I get home, I can still remember the amazement and surprise of the children when they first arrived at Milton House. "Oh, my goodness, It amazing"- S. We Booked Abbey House for our company Christmas do and had about 24 people. Everyone loved the House and thought it made brilliant change to booking the normal Christmas hotel venues. It had everything you needed for lots of people and was made even more special with the Christmas trees and decorations. Highly recommend.
A weekend stay at Ashfield Park Farm, which was incredible. The booking and administration was slick and Group Retreats were always responsive and really helpful,, afterwards someone rang to check everything was OK and I received my full damage deposit back within 24 hours. I am 100% satisfied with the service I received.
I hired Caer Beris Manor for my 60th birthday celebration with family and friends in October. Everyone loved it! The house is amazing, (posh but not so much that you had to worry) the rooms are all ensuite, there is a big dining room where everyone could be together but also lots of smaller communal areas for people to hang out in smaller groups. The grounds are beautiful and people loved the hot tub. Everyone at Group Retreats was helpful and made the booking really easy. Also there is someone living on site who is unobtrusive but was brilliant when we had an issue with one of the doors. This place was perfect for us!
Group Retreats were very helpful from start to finish. They answered all enquiries prior to booking as well as answering all of the groups questions on the build up to the arrival date. Fawley Court was as described and more, the property is fantastic with a special mention to the indoor pool, this blew us away!There were 37 guests that stayed across the weekend and there is plenty of space to keep this amount of people busy.Group Retreats were flexible with our requests and also helped with suggesting various local vendors that can supply the property too.I would recommend booking through Group Retreats due to their high level of service and would also definitely recommend Fawley Court too!
Graham the caretaker was super helpful, there were 35 of us and he made sure we all had what we needed. The house was perfect for our needs, the great hall made it for us as we could all eat together easily and the house was large enough that we were all not under each others feet. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful family holiday at Fawley Court - there were 36 of us, ranging from age 4 to age 80, and we had a great time. The house was perfect for us, and the gorgeous swimming pool was the icing on the cake. Everyone loved it. Group Retreats were very responsive at all times and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
27 of us stayed at Milton House to celebrate my birthday. It was a fantastic weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better setting for it - the house and its grounds are gorgeous and we were kept well entertained with the pool, hot tub and games room. Milton House is helpfully located near to various shops and Bedford train station is also close by. Group Retreats were very responsive throughout the whole process which took a lot of the guesswork out of planning the weekend's activities. I would happily recommend Milton House to anyone looking for a special weekend with loved ones!
