Had an amazing weekend at The Castle ,Castle Eden ,October 13th for our golden wedding anniversary. We also celebrated our granddaughter’s graduation. The castle is stunning, plenty of luscious, comfortable bedrooms and huge bathrooms that you could’ve had a dance in .The kitchen was huge that all our family and friends could gather around the island and there was everything you needed ,eg pots ,pans Crockery, glasses etc. The reception rooms were so light and airy with comfortable sofas. The hot tub and sauna was a big hit but, the star of the show was the dungeon with; the pool table, bar and music, what a laugh we all had in there, we enjoyed it so much that I’ve already booked again for my 70th birthday. I would definitely recommend the castle and thankyou so much for the Beautiful hamper. Looking forward to our next time xx
This is a lovely cottage to stay on and very well equipped with a welcome basket of goodies in the kitchen. The hotel and pub next door were very helpful with extra wood for the fire and we ate in there on the first night. The pizzas were very good. The main house accommodation was excellent and the two annex rooms were good enough for the children.
We stayed at Abbey House for a corporate retreat midweek stay. Group Retreats were fantastic in responding to queries quickly from booking (even giving advise about the local area and things to do and takeaways), during the stay (we had an issue with the fire alarm but somebody came out within 15 minutes!) and also post stay (deposit refund was very efficient and easy).Abbey House itself was great for our event and I have got to say the photos don't do it justice. The outside space was just fantastic, there is plenty of outdoor furniture for all guests to make the most of the beautiful gardens. There are lots of communal spaces which was really helpful for when we had breakout sessions during our stay. But equally there was enough space for when we all wanted to be together. There was a hamper waiting for us on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The kitchen was very well stocked in terms of crockery, pots, pans, glasses etc and it was great to have 2 dishwashers to help with all the washing. The only thing that may be helpful is an additional kettle?A number of us went for walks/runs in the local area and it was just stunning, lots to keep yourself busy with. We will definitely be booking again, although we may try another property next time to mix things up.
We hired Timberley Court in Bury for a girlie weekend.Group retreats were very helpful and always quick to respond with any queries we had during the booking process.Jon the caretaker was also very helpful and a font of knowledge when we arrived at the property.The property and the grounds were amazing, plenty of room for us all and the kitchen was well equipped for a large group. The heated pool and hot tub were both very popular. There was a welcome hamper provided too - full of goodies which was a lovely gesture.The location was great, a lovely river ran through the grounds which we were able to paddle board on and it was close to the beach too.We are in the process of booking the house for next year too as we all thoroughly enjoyed it and it was perfect for a large group of friends.Thank you Group Retreats
We had an amazing weekend at Fawley Court - the place is huge and gave us enough space to kick back over the weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. All of the rooms were a good standard and everything was set up as discussed. The swimming pool is huge and makes an epic statement - all of my friends loved the grounds and various rooms within the house.
We stayed at The Castle Eden. Fantastic property, reasonably priced, great location. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful when we had an issue on the first night (the property had been vacant for a week and there were a lot of dead flies in the bedrooms due to the location). Fantastic experience, would highly recommend!
35 women stayed at Fawley Court,Herefordshire. Amazing house, pool & grounds. From booking, to check in & out was seamless. The staff at group retreats answered any emails the same day & were able to answer any question. They even arranged for us to get earlier. An amazing weekend! Abbey House did not disappoint! We had a large family gathering and the space was perfect, the property was well maintained and the games room and swimming pool kept everyone entertained. Groupretreats.com made sure all our needs were provided and we loved our stayed. I am happy to recommend them to everyone.
We had a great family get together at Milton house, 30 of us adults and children enjoyed the house, grounds, swimming pool and massive games room. There was something for everyone to do. Booked 2 nights, was not enough as everyone wanted to stay longer. Hope to be back soon.
