A sign of good tour guide is their ability to engage with their audience and bring to life the tour topic. In general I found the best tour guides are those who are passionate about their subject. All I can say I have yet to experience a level of passion like the one Jayden has shown during our tour together. With his passion and enthusiasm he managed to bring to life the history of the Rock, its twists and turns, and significance of the various historical artefacts.
It started raining so we actually finished the tour a little early. This was my second time on the same tour, (yes I enjoyed the first one so much that I came back a few months later to do it again with friends) but the guide was different and the group was much larger. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't be as good the second time around, but Maria was amazing and told us sfabulous stories about the artists and the subjects of. their artwork. She is very well informed about the background to the Mexican art scene, as she is a graduate in Art History from the celebrated Palacio de Bellas Artes in CDMX. I was VERY impressed with the extent of her knowledge, her ability to communicate ideas and somehow keep such a large group hanging on to her every word. Super tour - don't miss it.
I've done a couple of Guru Walks now in different cities around the world and they are all amazing. It's great on Day 1 to get your bearings of a new city especially with a local! Can't recommend enough to everyone!
I found my walking guru easily and really enjoyed the tour. I learned much about the past and the presence of the city and the country, explored hidden places, my walking guru was very competent, passionate, open and friendly. I would do it again!
Loved the tour! Harold was very personable and shared so much information about his beautiful city. I thought it was fun and informative, loved the stop at the jade museum at the end as well. Highly recommend!
I have booked a few tours across Asia with Guru Walks and each one had been excellent and well worth the “tip” money.
Although the word “free” is used a lot in their sales/headlines do read the pages properly - nothing in life is totally free!!
It was a slightly different guided tour. Our guide, Azucena, was lovely and ensured a great atmosphere. We had a pleasant afternoon and met some wonderful new people. We learned interesting things about El Salvador in a fun and relaxed way.
I enjoyed my bike tour with Tui, he was fun, engaging, and knowledgeable about Chiang Mai. I can tell he truly enjoys what he does. We went along the smaller side roads by bike, and I felt completely safe. The bikeride was at a slow pace (so if you don't think you can do it, you can). We stopped along the way at a few temples and areas to learn, but also drink water. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting! Thanks for a fun tour!
Owen was knowledgeable of the city and its history. We covered a lot of ground, and I enjoyed seeing spots I otherwise wouldn't have known about if I went out on my own. Cork is a beautiful city and I enjoyed learning more about the history and the best spots to grab a pint!
Loved the walk, the tours talk and the magnificent views this beautiful city has! Thank you for such a great tour!!
I 100% recommend booking this if you want to see and hear about the beauty of this city
