Not trust worthy

Not trust worthy, and very unprofessional company.No matter to which extend the rent os cheap or the apartment is good, please avoid them.

Absolute worst company ever

Absolute worst company ever. I have been dealing with mold for 1.5 years and until now one has even come by to check as it comes from rain damage. The customer service are rude people with zero empathy

I strongly advise you not to rent here

Dear everyone who is looking into renting from Heimstaden or Heimstaden Norway. I know this is a big company, and seemingly would seem safe. But please read the over 50+ bottom stars this company has on trustpilot, Heimstaden. If it's not here, then search it on trustpilot. I can assure you, they are not here for your safety or assistance. I know 3 people, and myself who have had severe issues with customer service, and other tenants. There have been incidents of near assault, harassment, other tenants drugs, alcohol misuse/fighting, stalking and bullying that we all have been victims of. And they do nothing. Even when the police and security company tell them to, and claim they have responsibility. They claim they are "here for your welfare", and and yet they tell you to deal with any "neighbor issue" yourself. Regardless of how severe. They always state "they tried their best", there is "nothing" they can do, or claim "word for word", even when you have proof. And are quick to shift the blame on you, if you go further/ push back. Like with legal assistance or persistence/boundaries. They will, on public complaints seem like "they are sorry you feel that way", "we have tried/or will try to help you". Which is of our experience, and of course not the case. I have legal, and governmental guidance in this, and they are appalled by the choice of communication and treatment that Heimstaden is willing to enforce. Regardless of the termination of contract assistance they are ever so willing to continually suggest. Better you gone, than to have to take or face accountability. Others have chosen to move, change apartment, or fight, and I have chosen both. And have experienced a lot over time. They do not care about you, how you feel in your home, is of no importance to them, as long as you pay, and they "feel right". And as long as you pay, anyone can rent there, which is probably why there have been so many cases of misconduct. Even when you have legal assistance on your side, they will go out of their way to make your life as miserable as possible, and if you push back, they will begin to blame you. And claim to have "several times tried to assist you". So if anything happens to you, you are on your own. And if you push back, you will be held accountable. I strongly caution you not to rent here. My story is not the only one.

Heimstaden has not returned my deposit…

Heimstaden has not returned my deposit until now. My lease ended on 2023-09-30. I was told by CS on 2024-03-26 they forwarded my email to the colleagues in the relevant department, and that they will contact me directly. This has not happened until now, and so I still don't have my money back! I emailed again yesterday but this is getting ridiculous. They have basically broken the contract of the return window for my deposit.2024.04.26 Update: After they replied me here in Trustpilot, I went and re-sent them another email. I have been sending them emails per week now, ensuring I mention all the email inquiry numbers for each email I send so they know how many times I sent them an email. One person responded on 23rd April saying they don't have my IBAN number. WHAT A LIE?!? Because I already sent it on 25th March and even got a reply from Customer Service that they will "send my email to the colleagues in the relevant department". It is like they ask you for details and just lose them on purpose so they have a reason to not return the deposit! I have been a good payer of my rent and this is the kind of service I get after I leave? Most pathetic company with ridiculous…

Most pathetic company with ridiculous service. Never get involved with them. Just stay away and protect your money. The entire team is dumb and doesn't care about the issues you have.

Horrible company to deal with. Don't listen to residents, don't admit to their own mistakes and make tenants pay for their own errors.

They can not do normal tasks

I'm living in an apartment of them in Berlin.I transfer rent every month by the time on the contract and also pay extra costs every year for heating and water etc as usual as other apartments.But one day they sent me a caution which says that I didn't pay a rent and also the extra costs.Of course I already paid and sent them my bank transfer detail. But they didn't listen and just kept sending me the cautions. Everytime I got the cautions, I explained everything and sent my transfer details again and again but they don't listen at all. For now finally they checked the rent I already paid but still haven't check the extra cost.They already sent me cautions several times. And now I'm thinking about asking a lawyer cause these things are very stressful and I'm really getting exhausted mentally. I'm just paying rent and everything they require, but they can not do normal tasks.I know tough to find apartments in Berlin but if it's possible for you, I really don't recommend the apartments of them.

Customer service issue

I literally have a whole in my bathroom and created a case days ago. I am trying to reach out to the customer service and phones are not even being picked up. It is like this more than 2 weeks and my cases are still being ignored.

14 C flat for the whole winter

The heating in our flat hasn't worked properly for the whole winter. So we live in a 14 C flat. Our neighbours have mentioned they have the same problem, so potentially the whole building (approx 15 flats) is without appropriate heating. Are they trying to freeze people out so they could get new renters with new rental agreements? Surely they wouldn't! Every now and again they send an engineer over who just looks at the radiators, sometimes tries to air them, but there's no solution. And at the same time they sent us a rent increase letter. They have energy for that but not for fixing the heating. I email them every other day, so they must be aware of the situation.
