Some meals I found to be not enough for two adult meals. A little skimpy. I was almost embarrassed several times when I invited guests over for dinner. I felt like they went home a little hungry. And variety of side dishes was pretty limited.
My first order never arrived at all. After contacting customer service and trying again, the second order finally showed up — but it was delivered late, the coolant packs were completely melted, and the meat was warm and clearly unsafe to use. I had to throw everything away.
This was a very frustrating experience from start to finish. On top of that, customer service was not helpful and did not resolve the issue in a satisfactory way.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I expected reliable delivery and safe food handling, and unfortunately, HelloFresh did not meet even the basic expectations. I will not be ordering again.
I started hellofresh in 2019 and today I canceled. The last few months most of my boxes have been late but today was the last straw. My delivery is supposed to be on Monday and I expected it to be late because of the storm but it's Wednesday and after zero communication I reached out to them. Customer service said it was "voided" and she could give me a refund because it was never coming
That's nice charge me for nothing until I complain to get my money back. Charged my credit card on time, every time. After 7 years I'm out.
Hello Fresh meals are terrific. They are clear. Easy to prepare. Taste great. However, getting the meals to you on time appears to be very difficult to impossible. Their customer service is in the Philippines. They can’t really do anything. Right now we have meals that were due Tuesday. It’s Wednesday they haven’t even shipped yet. This is the second week in a row they missed the deadline. Their idea of addressing the issue is $5 off. It may, or may not be here Thursday and I doubt the fresh produce will survive. So who knows how they will address $100 of food going bad.
I signed up for the Quick and Easy meals and although it has only been a couple of weeks, I do not have a single complaint.
The options are varied; the portion size is perfect. Each recipe card comes with easy to follow, step by step instructions.
I can change the quantities ordered as my needs change.

My last box never showed on delivery day so I was issued a refund and a replacement box was sent. That box showed up with the ice packs inside busted open. The gel was everywhere. But worse, none of the food was cold. Everything was room temperature and needed to be thrown out. I was so disappointed.
They overcharged me multiple times and then were rude when I contacted support. I only came back because I got an offer for 75% the first week. Then I got a notification they charged me 4x the amount it said it would cost when I chose the meals. I contact support to get it fixed and the person was so rude to me. Made me feel like I was bothering them by contacting support. Just a horrible experience.
The meals r good. Sometimes veggies r aged and limp or very small.
Delivery is left at garage door instead of front door. This bothers me a lot as the garage door faces the parking lot.
I've heard great things about the food, but I guess I'll never find out for myself.
A friend sent me a code to get my first box free, but when I set up my new account the website denied that it was new and wouldn't let my code go through.
Talked to customer support who confirmed that I was absolutely eligible for the promotion. They had me set up ANOTHER account with a different email, and finally suggested that I use incognito mode. Same result.
Finally they said they would get their tech team to look into the problem and promised to email me within 24-48 hours. I never heard back.
If I ever hear back and they make it right, I would love to try their service and will update this review.
Selections are wonderful. Delivery prompt
Better care needs to be made to assure the correct ingredients are based, I had a total make up my own recipe as the ingredients didn’t match the purchased meal
Additionally, recipes need to be include and match the selections. That didn’t happen with my last order.
