Review Time
I was very taken care of throughout the whole process. Both with transportation between the airport, hotel, and operating facility and during the operation itself. It’s important to be patient both during are the process. I saw some of the best results post-operation months later.
Had DHI with Hermest on 15 March so day 9 now. Will write full review so can include outcome in a year. What follows a bit unstructured but hopefully helpful. In short everything was exactly as described or better. All the clinic staff were friendly, polite and helpful. But I think their main positive attribute was that they are experts (albeit my non expert opinion on that). In the 15 minute face to face assessment on the morning you could just tell that a) they cared / wanted what was best for me and b) they knew what they were doing. Mr Otku did a great job translating so I could follow conversations but - to be honest - I quickly decided they were the experts and I took their advice at all times and if they wanted to have a chat and figure things out me shutting up seemed like a good idea. They had a few goes drawing in my new hairline and I found it comforting that they drew the line a few times whilst debating what could be done (I only came expecting hair to be thickened/filled in) so how far it has come forward massive bonus.The hotel was good (safe, clean, ok food) staff really friendly and every taxi was exactly on time with cool moving city scape (will make sense if you get in one). Communications before, during (visit to Turkey) and after couldn’t be better. Really responsive and pro-active. Istanbul / Turkish Airlines not the most expensive in the world but I think they were both brilliant Value For Money. I am sure there were things to complain about if you looked hard enough but I will go back to Istanbul - liked all of it that much plus I flew in Thursday night and flew home Saturday lunchtime so didn’t see much.I worried, a bit, about everything. Would there even be someone to meet me? Is it normal to carry thousands of £s (I paid sterling), would exchange rate have mysteriously gone up? Would the support fall away as soon as I paid, would they do as little as possible etc. etc. Nothing went wrong - I think they took professional pride in giving best outcome and it showed all the way through. I opted - kind of last minute- to have head shaved (was no pressure from them) just because I liked them and in my own interest to make it easier . That said 9 days after a number 0/1 all over my hair now looks better than it has in 10 years. They put in more grafts than planned / agreed. Expecting lots of hair to fall out but now also expect it to grow back.Finally in terms of pain. The injections in the head were about a 3 or 4 out of 10 (took 5 minutes). Having my hair washed next day was maybe a 6 for donor areas but that was under a minute so managed not to cry in front of man (would have jumped out window if I saw him get conditioner out though). Apparently have to get blood flowing again. Not sure they need someone with hand strength of a mountain gorilla on hair wash duties though. Happy to be contacted if anyone has any questions. I didn’t know anyone at Hermest or know anyone who had been before but did look up reviews on here which is why I choose over some other clinics. I just had my DHI transplant with Hermest Clinic. From Consulting to surgery and after care I can only say I felt being kept in good hands. The Team is friendly, energetic and keen to support in any manner.Utku was there to translate for me and did a great job. Gently and Calm guy :) Should you consider a consultation beforehand like me ask for him. The Doctors and staff were professional and keen to remove all concerns. Since I spoke to 6 other Clinics before and then ended up with Hermest speaks volume.
