Two years ago my best friend died and left me the executor of his estate. My probate solicitor put me in touch with Hern & Crabtree, Pontcanna. What can I say. They have been AMAZING. Throughout the whole complicated process they have been professional, courteous, knowledgeable and most of all kind. So I would not hesitate to recommend them and I give a special shout out to Natalya, Rhodri, Anna and Daisy who have gone above and beyond in helping me. I’ll be very sorry not to chat with them again. So to all at H&C Pontcanna……. COOOOOEEEEEEE.😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have again found Adele McMullen and her team at Hern & Crabtree Lettings to be first class in relation to finding a new tenant for an appartment we own. From start to finish, the team were amazing, and I felt truly looked after while selling my house. At the initial meeting with Rhodri, I felt completely in safe hands. He spoke about his team, and after meeting them, I could see why—everyone was incredible and made me feel like I was dealing with friends.It was an incredibly stressful time due to pressure from other estate agents and the pressures of selling and buying, but Anna was always calm, helpful, and knowledgeable. Natalaya, Mitchell, and Gina were all fantastic, and I cannot thank you enough.You sold my lovely home so I could begin my dream life in the country, and I will always be truly grateful to you all.
We purchased a house through Hern & Crabtree, and the experience has been absolutely appalling.Upon receiving the keys, we found the property in a vandalised and disgusting condition. The boiler doesn’t work, the electrics are non-functional, and to top it off, there was urine soaked into the carpet. It was clear the house had been vandalised before handover — and yet Hern & Crabtree either didn’t know, didn’t care, or worse, turned a blind eye.One plug socket even had a leaky canister hanging above it which burst into flames and posed a serious safety hazard.After the sale Hern & Crabtree have become totally unresponsive.The remedial work will cost thousands upon thousands.No transparency, no warning, and absolutely no support once the issues were discovered. We are now left facing significant repair costs and health hazards, immediately after completion.For example, I spoke to Denise who showed no sympathy when I raised all of these concerns and she said, and I quote, "I'd rather not have this conversation".If you’re considering buying through Hern & Crabtree: don’t. Their handling of this sale was irresponsible, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This agency has been an absolute nightmare from beginning to end. I’ve just completed the purchase of a house through them, and the condition I received the property in was nothing short of disgusting and dangerous — and the estate agent’s response has been completely unacceptable.On completion day, the seller didn’t even provide a back door key. Some of the other keys were broken, including one for the garden door, which is completely unusable because the lock is broken. The estate agent shrugged this off and offered me a £75 refund for one missing key — as if that would fix everything.But it gets worse. When I walked into the house I had just spent my life savings on, I was met with a complete mess. The place was filthy. There was urine left unflushed in the bathroom, piss stains on the carpet, and the kitchen was disgusting — covered in grease, grime, and filth. It was clear that no one had cleaned or even bothered to prepare the house for handover.And the DIY work left behind is a serious fire and safety hazard. A water filter was installed right above the washing machine’s electric sockets, posing a clear risk of electrocution and fire. Several wires hanging from the walls all over the house. What kind of unregulated, dangerous nonsense is this? And why did the estate agent allow this property to go to completion in such a state?This agency facilitated the sale of a house that was unfit to be handed over, and once they got their commission, they completely washed their hands of it. We raised all of these issues with them and the only action they took was a £75 key refund. That’s it.No follow-up, no accountability, no remorse. Just a “not our problem anymore” attitude.I feel utterly deceived and let down by this agency. Their lack of care, responsibility, and professional conduct is shocking.❌AVOID this agency at all costs unless you want to be ripped off, ignored, and left with a disaster of a property while they walk away with their money. They should be ashamed of how they operate.
