Overall good experience. I bought the Aktiia bracelet as I had been loaned one last year by my cardiologist. That experience did make me aware that there are a number of technical issues with these devices, even when set up by the professionals. I decided to purchase the device this year as I have persistent blood pressure issues and to have the constant monitoring is very helpful and should enable you to forget about the issue. It's definitely preferable to using the normal cuff twice a day. It should take the stress out of monitoring your blood pressure. Once you know how to set up and initialise it's a great device.neat and easy to use. I haven't quite discovered why it consistently measures every two hours and then misses readings for none of the reasons given in the FAQs
Worn the bracelet for a month. This one I bought, the first was administered by a cardiologist. The readings were very low compared to a standard omron bp monitor. My wife also tried and has documented high blood pressure and all the readings were very low in sub 120 / 80, when she is grade 1 140/90 so completely inaccurate. Sadly past 30 return period otherwise I would ask for replacement so have to write review instead. Very concerning as bracelet advised by cardiologist prior to bp meds could be telling me i / my wife am okay when clearly not. Carried out the initialisation correctly on first use and when prompted so not the issue.
Great! Easy to use. I like how the data is presented. With the first initialisation I didn’t have great positioning but with the re-initialisation I did this prior to coffee or food and after sitting in an appropriate position for 5 min. I believe that the values with the cuff and the band reflect my bps.
The BP monitor is significantly off on my systolic rate compared to cuff (omron and doctor). 15-20 points higher, making it difficult to want to use as the readings don't appear accurate. There is consistency in the trends which is helpful but ive stopped wearing it for now as I don't want to see inaccurate and high readings all the time.
Difficult to contact customer services. Do not like web only contact. Difference in readings from cuff to bracelet significant even after initialisation.Excellent concept which could be made more customer friendly. Web service great for reducing company costs but customer wastes time trawling through possiblr=e solutions to problems
It’s a waste of money. I’m not sure how the blood pressure readings are generated—they seem completely random. Since purchasing it, the device has consistently shown high blood pressure readings. Concerned, I visited my GP, who recommended a 24-hour blood pressure monitor. To my surprise, the readings from the professional monitor showed normal blood pressure levels. I wouldn’t recommend this product.
