No Apple health integration

Good quality, readings consistently higher than when using Omron cuffs so worth comparing when validating the data. Biggest drawback is doesn’t work with Apple Health. Had i researched this better i wouldn’t have bought this device for this reason alone. Expensive piece of kit for something that doesn’t integrate with the leading health app in the ecosystem.

Continuity seems to be a daily issue

I seem to have trouble with continuous readings not happening. I also get readings when I do not have it on my wrist. I sometimes get two readings or four and other days nothing. I do adjust location on wrist and tightness of the band to no avail. This has been frustrating as it is a daily occurrence. I had no problems with initial set up.

This is a great product for measuring…

This is a great product for measuring rest time blood pressure. The device is easy to wear. Unfortunately it only takes measurements at rest ie overnight and when not moving for a period of time. The separate manual arm device works well to sychronize with the wrist monitor and for measurement when readings are not being taken by the wrist monitor.

Convenient with room for improvements

Aktiia makes it convenient to record and monitor BP in ways not possible before. They seem accurate enough. There are several areas of improvements though: I found the band to be uncomfortable to wear round the clock. Wish there were softer and better designed band options available. Get rid of micro-USB, we are in 2025! Occasional Bluetooth sync issues.

Customer Support seems to have vanished

I have been using the wrist band and the cuff since June 2022 - bar a period of time where I needed replacement unit. However, recently I had huge and significant drop in my blood pressure due the removal of a large kidney stone. While the cuff accurately provided results similar to the ones taken by the clinicians, the results from the wrist unit and the app were too high even after repeated / daily initialisations. I tried to contact Customer Support but was extremely frustrated by the interference of the AI Bot and could not get through to communicate with a person. Instead the AI Bot repeated blocked me. Also the contact information for customer support appears to have been removed. I am assuming that the algorithm is resisting the huge drop in my blood pressure from the edge of crisis to normal. The device has been hugely helpful in getting support from the medical team and hence identification of a significant problem in my right kidney. (My blood test were higher but not outside the normal range). Massively helpful. But now after this change the results to do not appear to be accurate and I can’t find customer support.

Unreliable

I am an active user of a cuff - three readings in the mornings and three at night. I’ve been doing it for years; it’s just my routine. I’ve been looking for a smart device to take the faff away. This device does not take readings consistently: hours with no readings and really high readings when I’m sleeping or sitting still during recorded periods. The readings do not align with the cuff or my trusty Omron. I have never been ‘in range’. The app and manual does not explain what is the appropriate range if you are active - obviously 120/80 is not achievable if you are constantly on the move. So far, my conclusion is that it’s a waste of money. (And yes the band is fitted correctly and I’m initialising regularly (I’ve tried it daily but makes no difference). I don’t think this device can be trusted.

Total scam

Total scam. Stay away !!Photoplethysmography technology doesn't work at all. There's a big discrepancy between the measurements taken by the cuff and those taken by the wristband using plethysmography. If you need any further proof, here it is: the company refuses to reimburse if the equipment has been opened, justifying this by the fact that it is medical equipment... no need to tell you that your Omron cuff is subject to reimbursement. I'm a swiss medic, and I'm ashamed that a company like this exists in Switzerland. I'm going to write to the consumer protection federation right away.

Work well and accurate

Been about a month now and working nicely. A compare with my omron from time to time and it's within range. Tried on a few spot on my wrist including under and still getting good values. I have less values during the day but it's expected because I'm active which correlate with the instructions. It like that I can see the detail data in the report.People don't read instructions so don't realise that the home scream shows the average within a 2 hour period.Do have 1 complain, the band is barely long enough and sucks. Rubber will cause rashes and itching. We need more choice at a REASONABLE price. Thank You.
