Because there are now no stores I ordered online. Trying to get a return sorted out is horrendous. Once you navigate your way through the customer unfriendly maze to actually request one they confirm with an email which states #type your response above this line# and you cannot, there is no option above that line, so you navigate through the online process again to reply to be told they are shutting down that enquiry as you already have one opened without actually acknowledging your response to their email as you could not respond on that one. 3 times now, 3 different operators. Do they not understand English can they not pick up a phone and help. Customer service erm no, no service whatsoever !!!!!!
Awful customer service. Charged twice for an order due to website issue, and contacted customer service to get a refund for one of the charges. I’ve been told I can’t return the order because it’s a made to order product, and in the meantime I’ve only received one order whilst being charged twice. It seems that customer service is AI or can’t understand the issue. I’d like to speak to a human on the phone but there’s no other way to contact them.
I ordered a mirror from a retailer and received no confirmation email or delivery timeline. Then, I got a text from the delivery service indicating it would arrive the next day. When it did arrive, it was shattered into pieces, clearly dropped during transit. The invoice was from a different company. I reached out via email since the customer service phone line was unavailable. After three days and multiple emails, I was told I needed to return the unusable mirror for a refund. Packaging it took me an hour, all while worrying about the broken glass. I contacted my payment service as I doubted I'd get my money back. I also reached out to the original manufacturer, suggesting they reconsider their distribution choices. Had I spoken to someone sooner, I might have opted for a replacement, but after all this trouble, I don't want to spend my money with this disorganized company. I used to have a high opinion of the retailer, but that has changed drastically. Update - Finally received a reasonable response from the manufacturer stating the mirror didn't need to be returned and a refund was being processed. It seems customer service hadn't reviewed the photos.
I wanted to provide an update regarding my incomplete order from the company. I've sent over 15 emails trying to get the plant pots I paid for delivered. Since my order was not complete, I mentioned that if the full order was not received, I needed someone to collect the plants, as they were unnecessary without the pots. This issue has been ongoing for 3 weeks. It seems no one at the company is able to locate my original order or understand the confirmation that mentions multiple deliveries. After all these emails, I received a response today stating the plants are non-returnable, despite being led to believe that arrangements were in place for their return. My total bill was £53.95 after a 10% discount. The company doesn't even have any snake plants listed at £17.95. The three plants I ordered were £12.95 each with the discount, and those are the only items I received. They also fail to recognize the price discrepancy. On their website, snake plants are listed at £12.95 with a free pot for £22.50 or £28, yet they can't do basic calculations. I strongly advise against purchasing plants from this website unless you want to pay for items you never receive. The customer service has been dreadful. It's clear I will not shop with this company again, and I will inform others to avoid it as well. I have noticed that they have not responded to my original review, yet they continue to send me satisfaction surveys, despite my negative feedback.
Was waiting all day for a delivery it said it was loaded on the lorry 2nd day waiting in same thing said it was loaded on the lorry. The driver turned up and said we dont have your delivery on the lorry its a joke now contacted homebase and they said it on the lorry out for delivery its now a joke 2 days wasting my time dont bother ordering from them
An update on non receipt of my full order from Homebase. I am now at least 15 plus emails in, trying to have the plant pots I paid for delivered. As the order was incomplete I stated that if the entire order was not received then I needed someone to collect the plants as they were not required without the plant pots. This query/ complaint has been ongoing for 3 weeks. No one at Homebase appears competent enough to locate the original order or read the confirmation which states more than one delivery for the order. After over 15 emails I received an email today stating the plants are Jon returnable . This despite my being lead by Homebase email to believe arrangements had been made for their return. My total bill with a 10% off voucher came to £53.95. Homebase do not have any plants for snake plants on their website priced at £17.95. The plants I purchased x3 were £12.95 with a 10% discount and these are the only items I received. Yet they are unable to recognise the price discrepancy. Snake plants on the website are £12.95 with free pot £22.50 or £28. Yet they are unable to do simple math. Please avoid buying your plants from this website unless you wish to pay for goods you do not receive. The customer service is abysmal.It is safe to say I will not be purchasing from Homebase and will update all I know to ensure they do not make any purchases also. I note that there has been no response from Homebase pertaining to my original review. Yet they continue to send me satisfaction surveys. Despite my bad reviews to these.
Shocking service! Item ordered, delivery date confirmed as two days later - 30 days on I have no item, no refund and a constant “ Kindly permit the supplier to provide a response so that we may proceed with processing your refund, upon receiving their feedback, a member of our team will promptly contact you via email to provide an update on the progress of this matter within 48 working hours. Should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to reach out.”
I purchased some items in November, which were never delivered because they were 'lost by DPD'. Since then I have tried to get a replacement sent, but every time I email I get a response asking to wait for 48 hours.Absolutely appalling customer service, and will now go via my credit card to get my money back.
Awful company. Used an inept courier company, that failed to deliver my item as they claimed, then implied I lied about delivery. There are plenty of other more professional reliable companies, who actually value customers, and I would suggest shopping with one of them.
Coffee table arrived damaged so asked to return. 7 emails later I have yet to receive confirmation that it can be returned.I have received numerous emails asking a question which I answer, then I get sent another email which I reply, then I have to wait another 24/48 hours for another response.It’s getting beyond a joke. Please avoid Homebase at all costs, customer service is dire
