Just after Christmas I bought a recycling waste bin for my kitchen. I chose to purchase it from Home Done/ MHStar because they offered the most competitive online price. It came with 3 compartments, the main compartment on top is ‘senor’ operated and the lower compartments are draw operated. It cost £87 which was about £30 cheaper than other providers hence the reason why I chose Home Done. But the story that followed left me feeling like I had been DONE by Home Done!

My wife didn’t think that the bin was suitable for our kitchen so we began the process of returning the item to their warehouse in Nottingham. Because we had a ‘Change Of Mind’ about this product we were expected to pay for the ‘return’ shipping fee. They suggested that I use a comparison website called ‘Parcel2Go’ which I did at a cost of nearly £16 (including insurance). I later found out that Yodel Direct were the transport company chosen to deliver my return item. It now appears that Yodel have attempted delivery but cannot find the address which seems incredible considering that the full address & postcode were provided. Home Done are saying that they can’t confirm if they have received the Very Large package which left my property 4 weeks ago now. There can only be two reasons for its disappearance. The first is that it has been delivered but no proper record of receipt. The second is that it has been stolen by someone in the chain of recipients. Either way I still don’t get any answers from anyone and remain hugely out of pocket!!

You can’t physically phone these companies and speak to an actual human being. It’s all dealt with by AI robots. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING

Where is my refund?

I am extremely frustrated about my refund! I paid £760 for a wardrobe in September, which I never received, and I still haven't gotten my money back. All I've received are false promises. In December, I received an email stating that my refund was processed on the 15th, but now it's the 23rd of January, and I still haven't seen a dime. This is unacceptable! I advise everyone to avoid making any purchases and keep your money safe, as this is a scam.

Extremely disappointed with the service.

I would rate this experience as zero stars if possible. I placed an order for a shelf on December 5th with the expectation of delivery within 10 days. After multiple emails, the shelf never arrived, with the support team blaming the delivery service. Despite my repeated requests to cancel the order and obtain a refund, I am still waiting for my money to be returned. I ordered the same item from another seller, and it arrived within five days, highlighting that there are many better options available. I will not be using this service again.

The items were received in a defective and damaged state, with poor cuts, and the support team seems uninformed about carpentry. Furthermore, no orders are showing in the user's profile, and the team appears indifferent to this issue.

Sofa arrived in unacceptable condition

I received the sofa in a terrible state—soaking wet, dirty, and with an awful smell. I informed the driver that I didn't want to accept it, but he insisted that I had to and advised me to email the company for a return or refund. After sending several emails, I haven't even received a response. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I've encountered.

Delivery cancellation with little notice

My delivery was cancelled just 12 hours prior to the scheduled time. The reason given was that it hadn't been manufactured yet. I'm uncertain if or when it will actually arrive.

Good communication, but sofa issues

The communication was excellent during the ordering and delivery process. However, the sofa arrived missing a leg, and there was no hole for the leg attachment, leaving the back corner unsupported. The finish on the arms is subpar, and the sofa is incredibly uncomfortable, feeling as hard as a stone. To get a refund, I need to fill out an online form, but the office is closed all weekend, leaving me with a useless sofa until Monday (delivery was on Saturday).
