Spacious, clean lodge. It felt luxurious! Hot tub was great( loved the coloured lights). Service in the onsite bar/restaurant was outstanding! Would have liked some little hand soaps and maybe some robes/ slippers as an add on extra. Really enjoyed the stay and the bed was comfy. Would have liked money off voucher for the restaurant at breakfast as some guests seemed to have them and others didnt. Overall id defo recommend and stay again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Langley Hotel in Whitby. The room was gorgeous and had all top notch amenities. The location was perfect, complete with a sea view. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again on our next visit to Whitby.
Great from start to finish, what a little gem of a cottage. Warm and comfortable, beds super comfortable, and good quality bedding and towels (whatever laundry wash that is used, it smelt lovely)
All the games in the dinning room were a huge hit with the family!
A great base for us to explore with an amazing beach on the doorstep too!
Only thing we had missing for our stay was a tea towel, everything else we needed was there and more!
The location was fantastic, and the house was tidy and clean, making it a place I would recommend to others. I would likely book again if I return, but definitely not during the colder months. However, there are areas for improvement regarding customer care: we arrived to an apartment without blinds or curtains in the living room, which was challenging given the cold weather and an inefficient heating system. My kids and I felt quite chilly indoors throughout our stay and had to keep our hoodies and jumpers on with socks, which still wasn’t quite enough. There was also no extra duvet for the advertised sofa bed, and we found empty bottles of hand soap and shower gel (although I can't recall if they were supposed to be provided), as well as no toilet paper and empty sachets in the bathroom drawers. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our time, but it would have been perfect if we had booked in summer or had a backup plan for the heating.
The accommodation matched the description and was conveniently located close to the city centre. The apartment was tidy and well-maintained. Communication with the host was smooth, and we encountered no issues. It was easy to find and access, making it an overall excellent choice that I would recommend.
Based on my experience with the service, I would not choose to book with them again. During my stay at a property managed by them, I encountered slugs in the room and visible mould, which I reported to the company. After filing a formal complaint, I was informed that no refund would be issued, and the only resolution offered was a 20% discount on a future booking. While the correspondence acknowledged my concerns, I felt that the outcome did not adequately address the issues I faced or the impact they had on my stay. The resolution seemed to reflect the property owner's stance rather than providing a fair assessment of the guest experience. This situation has shaken my confidence in the service's accommodation standards and in their handling of complaints. I am sharing this review to assist others in making an informed decision.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a three-night stay at a lovely accommodation. It was exceptional—comfortable, well-equipped, and impeccably maintained. We highly recommend this place and the nearby options, and we look forward to returning. The area is beautiful, and the local attractions are a must-visit!
The accommodation is situated in a delightful location with a sea view. It was clean and cozy, providing all the necessary comforts of home. The only minor issue was carrying my suitcase up to the third floor, which was a bit challenging. Overall, a very good experience.
