Disappointing Experience with a Service Provider

I had a frustrating experience with a service provider regarding a roof exhaust installation. They failed to install the kit I supplied as agreed, and the work they did was inadequate, posing a significant risk of water damage during storms and a serious fire hazard due to poor ducting installation. After being unable to reach the service provider for days and with bad weather approaching, I had to purchase a new kit and handle the installation myself. I then sought chargebacks through my banks, citing that I hadn’t received the services I paid for. One bank processed the refund quickly, while the other conducted a lengthy investigation, which delayed the chargeback. This seemed to prompt the service provider to dispute the chargeback with false claims. Luckily, I had documented evidence of the poor work and was able to counter their assertions. Despite providing substantial proof, including witness details, my evidence was overlooked in favor of the service provider. I feel victimized not only by the initial poor service but also by the bank's handling of the situation. I plan to file a complaint with the appropriate authority, and if I don’t receive an apology and proper compensation, I will consider closing my account after being a loyal customer for nearly two decades.

Scammed and Re-victimized by My Bank

I was recently deceived by a service provider during an installation job. They failed to use the materials I provided and instead completed the work poorly, creating risks of water damage and fire hazards. Thankfully, I had photographic evidence to counter their lies. Despite providing proof, my evidence was ignored, and the bank sided with the provider. I feel victimized twice—first by the provider and then by the bank's handling of the case. I plan to lodge a complaint, and if I don’t receive an apology and fair compensation, I will close my account after being a loyal customer for nearly 20 years.

Terrible Experience with the Bank

This bank has proven to be the worst. Living in Australia, I have funds from a UK property deposited here. After moving houses, my account was suspended upon their receiving a letter from my previous address. Now they expect me to mail certified copies of my new address to the UK, despite having verified my identity over the phone. I am extremely frustrated with their ridiculous requirements. Once I return to the UK, I will be closing this account.

Surprised This Bank Is Still Operating

I'm shocked that this bank is still in business. While their services are generally poor, the Australian branch is even worse. Recently, I've faced issues with their app, which now requires ID for login but has been 'temporarily unavailable' for a week. I waste hours on the phone getting the same response: it will be fixed in 24-48 hours, but it never is. I’m ready to move on.

Frustrating International Transfer Experience

Having banked globally, I can confidently say this bank offers the worst experience. I needed to send a simple international transfer to a regulated broker, which turned into three weeks of chaos. My initial transfer was rejected due to their confusing system. Support agents provided contradictory information, leaving me confused. My second attempt faced the same issues, with no clear explanation. Their app misleads users, and customer service is unhelpful. As an active trader, I need reliability, which this bank completely lacks. I’m moving my funds elsewhere.

The Worst Banking Experience

This bank deserves a zero. After paying off my mortgage months ago, I discovered they still held the title to my fully paid property during the sale process. They lead you in circles when you try to have the title transferred to your conveyancer, wasting hours of your time. They never informed me that I needed to provide official instructions for the title release. Their phone operators are unhelpful and cannot transfer calls properly. This is truly the worst bank.

Ignored Instructions on My Term Deposit

I had a disappointing experience with this bank regarding my term deposit maturity instructions. I clearly stated I didn't want my deposit renewed unless they offered a competitive rate, but my request was ignored. After multiple follow-ups, I discovered my funds had been locked into a new term deposit against my wishes. This entire process has been frustrating, and I expected much better service from such a large institution.

Unreasonable Daily Limits

I tried to pay my tax bill online, but the daily limit is unreasonably low. I had a better experience with this bank in the US, but in Australia, their limits are crippling for consumer banking. I recommend avoiding them.
