Had a long stop over at Istanbul airport and planned to buy some food, prices were extortionate and the service abysmal. Went to the Burger king as a cheap option ordered a chicken burger meal and paid an extra 2 euro to upgrade my drink to a milkshake. The counter staff were all on there phones taking no interest in there job. Seen my burger being set on the hot plate and I stood waiting for the counter girl to place it on a tray and serve me. But waited and waited but they ignored me and continued to play on there phones. Eventually I had to as if that was my burger and she picked it up and set it on a tray then went back to her phone. After another 5 minutes or so she then walked to the frier and put the fries on., then looked at the order and said they dont have milkshakes only coke sprite water. Tried to explain that I paid extra for the milkshake and that I should be refunded but no just kept saying no milkshake only coke. No amount of arguing would change her answer. I asked for the manager and was told no manager here. She walked of and brought cup of coke over and set it on my tray and said that's all there is and walked off to look at her phone again. A few minutes later she took the fries out and packaged them then set them on my tray and walked off saying nothing. I was the only customer the whole time. I concedes and took the tray. Considering there was a out 7 staff around the place none seemed interested in doing anything other than chatting on there phones and ignoring everyone else
The food court doesn’t maintain health code . I had a sandwich from Subway. The employee was making the sandwiches and running the register without charging the health gloves

What we encountered at this airport was simply inhumane. On November 2, 2025, my family was denied boarding despite checking in and paying for our seats. The staff closed the gate too early, and despite my mother's health issues, no one offered assistance. We rushed to the gate only to find the agents ignoring us. We ended up having to buy new tickets at an exorbitant price, with no help or compassion shown. This was not merely poor service; it was cruel.
