I was hesitant on ordering a suit online b/c you couldn't try it on. But after reading all the reviews, I went ahead and wanted to try out iTailor b/c of the good reviews. Ordering online was easy with the selections they had, and the customizations was great. I double checked all my measurements, because I didn't want to have an issue with that. The only thing you have to be aware of is that there are 2 options they give you on fit, regular or European slim fit - they don't make it clear that they will add a few more inches to the regular fit to make it comfortable. When I received my suit, the jacket was too loose for my liking. When I emailed Ning at customer service, they explained the size difference and was able to get me the correct fit that I wanted. Now the suit is a perfect fit. Make sure to go w/ the European slim fit, if you don't want a loose suit. Now that I have my size confirmed, iTailor will be my go-to site for new suits. Thank you Ning for a great customer service.
Final update:I can confirm that iTailor Gold has now processed a full refund, which I appreciate. Their co-owner, Bob, contacted me directly, apologised, and offered a refund or a remake of all garments. I’ve chosen to decline the remake, as I no longer have confidence in their fitting or cutting process. If a suit measured in person could be this far off, repeating the process remotely would make little sense. I also offered to return the garments, though the company chose not to arrange a return shipment.I want to acknowledge the prompt refund and polite communication at this stage — they did handle the resolution professionally once my complaint was raised. However, the overall experience was not the “Gold” or premium bespoke service that was advertised, and certainly not worth the £1,000 price tag.I’ll leave my original comments visible because they accurately reflect what I received and how the situation unfolded. I appreciate the eventual resolution, but this was overall a disappointing experience.-----------------------------------------------------------I placed an order for £1,000 for iTailor Gold’s “Gold Trunk Show” bespoke suit, measured by their representative in London. I received it today via courier, and what arrived is unbelievably bad.Here’s what’s wrong:Jacket- Measurements are wildly inaccurate — shoulders too broad, back too long, sleeves wrongly pitched, and deep creases across back and shoulders.- Despite my clear request for a light, soft (Armani-style) construction, the shoulders are heavily padded.- Chest structure is collapsing, lapels bow outward, and the collar lifts from the neck — no proper canvas.- Armholes are cut too low, restricting movement and distorting the shoulder line.Waistcoat- The button line twists outward — a basic sign of incorrect balance and pattern drafting.- Side seams don’t match, creating a pull in the front and limpness in the back.- Armholes are too low, causing bunching under the arms.- Too short — doesn’t meet the waistband — so buttons are straining and warping the front.Trousers- Cuffs were omitted entirely, despite being an agreed customisation.- The hem is crudely finished, with zero drape or shape.On top of all this, several customisations I explicitly requested were ignored — cuffs, softer construction, stylistic details. It’s as if they never bothered to check.This isn’t a matter of “just needs tweaking.” These are fundamental measurement and construction failures. At this price point — under the “Gold” branding — this amounts to false advertising and breach of contract.I have already raised a formal complaint demanding a remake or full refund. If that fails, I will proceed with a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider and escalate via Trading Standards. I will also be publishing this review widely to warn others.Avoid iTailor Gold unless you want to risk being sold a product of no real quality or craftsmanship.-----Update: After posting this review, I was contacted via email by a co-owner (“Bob”) offering a remake of all garments. He asked to speak by phone, but I requested that all communication remain in writing so there is a clear record of what’s agreed.If the suit could go so wrong after being measured in person, there is no realistic chance that sending my own measurements would fix anything — in fact, it would only give them the opportunity to blame me if the remake was wrong again.This entire experience is absolutely not the “Gold” or premium service that was advertised. At best, it resembles their lower-cost online service, but at a vastly inflated price.I have requested a full refund and asked for a written return procedure. At this point, several red flags are clear: avoidance of written communication, vague promises and no defined refund process.I will update this review once the company provides a concrete resolution — but as it stands, the experience has been stressful, disappointing, and nowhere near worth £1,000.
To start I was bitterly disappointed, then.....UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW.I have been speaking to iTailor and they are doing their best to rectify the problem. So far the response has been swift and professional. I have been offered an adjusted suit to be sent to me or full refund. I have increased the rating accordingly from 1 to 3 stars. The sign of a professional company is not that they might make mistakes but how they fix them. Fingers crossed all goes well so I can give 5 stars later.Update..Update..The new suit has arrived and It is fantastic. Excellent work and now a perfect fit.I often say the true measure of a company isn't when they get things right but what they do when they get things wrong.Very professional, prompt and courteous, really making me, as a customer, feel special. Thank you iTailor, that is how you go from 1 to 5 stars in my book.
I have been getting shirts made from itailor for about 10 years now. Very nice, customer service is excellent. One thing I ask is don't insult my intelligence and say there are never any tariff fees when you raised your price 10 dollars.
