Stayed in a property in Beaverton and the house was full of ants. Contacted the rental company and they refused to move us and instead did a "treatment" that made no difference and they knew would not have an affect for another 3 weeks. Would constantly wake up covered in ant's and several of us ended up with rashes. The only resolution was to offer a discount on a future booking which was woefully inadequate as we would never stay at one of their properties again after our experience. Definitely stay away
We stayed at 405 Kima at Madeira Beach and were very disappointed. The pictures looked great, but in fact the place was badly in need of a total redo. The furniture was broken, very worn and mostly unusable. The couch was so lumpy you couldn't find a place to sit. One chair is so worn it is hard to see the original color. The recliner doesn't recline, with handle broken off. The whole place was filthy. The shower floor is black with filth! Ice maker is broken, blanket had holes and had spaghetti sauce? on it. No common amenities like a hook for robes, etc. I contacted the owner about the gate code and told him the place was dirty. He said he has nothing to do with that, but in fact, he manages his own condos. So yes he does have something to do with that! Overall, the condo was misrepresented and we feel cheated. Called the emergency management # when we got there and no one answered. Needed the wifi password and didn't get it until the next day; it should have been there with all the other notes. Won't be back!
I wanted a ZERO score.from.this husband and wife duo that lie and rip people off. There rentals are awful don't believe their pictures online and even when their maintenance people told us about them they lied again . Don't expect a.clean unit when you arrive they are filthy and they say there inspection of housekeeping. We'll there's no house keeping and there's bo inspection. Stove and refridge didn't work ice maker had duct tape that was peeling off and they tried to blame us but there maintenance guys backed us and they said they ordered a new refridge n stove. Vut the low life owners lied instead of giving a partial refund.and the POOL was never cleaned or chemicals added ..total.rip off
Anna Maria Island Florida. Tried to reserve a condo on their site. Site told me that "online reservations were not available for this property". I called iTrip. No answer. Left a VM. The next day I sent them an email. No response from either for a couple days. We have moved on to another condo/rental management firm. If they can't respond to a question like that, I am concerned that they would not respond if we manage to rent a place from them and have issues.Do not recommend using iTrip for Anna Maria Island rentals.
I trip is AWFUL! BEWARE- this property management company is AWFUL due to poor delivery, poor response, poor customer service, and poor management. Being an owner of properties in a different state, I would not recommend it.I booked a VRBO property in Park City, UT, for a family vacation, and it was not a great experience because iTrip was the property management company hidden on the back end. We left multiple voicemails requesting to call back on their emergency line, with zero calls back. YES, their EMERGENCY LINE was not supported. They would only message/text, but it would take some time (1 hour + for a response). I highly recommend staying clear of any Airbnb/VRBO properties iTrip manages. We have learned now to ask additional questions ahead of time and do research. There are many more management companies out there as more and more people are doing Airbnb/VRBO, so do your research.
As Property Owners that listed our home with iTrips we were very excited about the potential of the "short term rental" market. Our property manager (local franchisee) was, needless to say, Wildly optimistic about potential returns. Our hopes were to at least cover the mortgage and management fees, and any profits would be icing on the cake. In the six months we had our property listed we made our mortgage ONE TIME! One month was only $200. Having contacts in the "short-term rental" business, we asked them what they thought. "Poor Management", "Price Adjustments", to which we added "Poor Communication".To add insult to injury, our home was damaged. When we brought this to the managers attention, at first they accepted responsibility, then shifted blame to "wear and tear", and finally offered to split the repair costs. The damage was clearly NOT "wear and tear" as no other portion of equal age, use, and exposure was damaged. According to our contract, iTrips employs cleaners, maintainers, and inspectors to go through the property each and every time it gets rented. This particular damage was noted by my wife during a visit home (only 2 months into our contract), not by an iTrips employee. We are glad to be done with iTrips. I regret our ever entering into a business relationship, and I apologize to anyone I might have recommended them to.
ITrip La Quinta Californiaexactly the same as this family see messaged belowBuyer beware please read reviews and stay clearFollowing our July 22-29 Vacation, iTrip falsely accused my family of leaving a Fripp Island property “excessively dirty” and were wrongly charged $150. Knowing we were innocent of the allegations, we respectfully called and emailed iTrip. We were shown no compassion, understanding and especially zero compromise. Phone calls were not returned only emails stating that we were wrong. iTrip corporate was notified and took no action. As a result of our treatment, we took iTrip to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor.
If I could give a negative rating, I would. My family had scheduled a trip to Charleston and reserved a location through this company, but we had to cancel. We tried to cancel as soon as we knew we were not going to be able to travel, but it was within their '60 days from check-in policy' and stated that we need to either use the property as scheduled or make an insurance claim. BTW, the insurance claim does not cost them a cent, they still keep your money and then can reschedule someone else in the location on those dates... (double dipping). The insurance covers the rental fees, not service fees and they do not tell you that. Also, there is no validation component, such as a check box or initial space on their form to confirm the renter completely understands that this can be used to take all of the money that was rendered for services the renter will never get. Not sure that component would stand up to legal scrutiny, but I do not have the funds to fight them. This organization then does not refund any of the service fees that were paid for the reservation, such as cleaning and animal deposit. We did not cross the threshold of this reserved location and have paid for cleaning that was not needed and an animal deposit for an animal that never was there. The service fees were ~$950.00. Their website says they pride themselves on customer service, but that is not my experience. They hide behind a 60-day policy that allows them to take advantage of people, as most items that will affect a family's ability to travel happen closer to the travel dates and that is what they are banking on. We even tried to reschedule the days, but once again, they pulled out this 60-policy to use to not allow a reschedule. We have had similar situations with other VRBO rentals, and the owners were always amenable to rescheduling, but not this company. They are not concerned with good customer service, just optimizing their cash flow. Now they will respond to this review stating that we did not read or understand the agreement and that they acted according to their agreement. As stated previously, I do not have the time, funds or inclination to fight this in court, but if this review protects one family from getting screwed by this company, it is worth EVERY syllable!Steer clear of this company!Once again, they hide behind the 'policy' that allows them to take the customer's money rather than allowing a rescheduling of the dates or returning fees for services that were not rendered. The argument that a policy is nothing if it is not followed is absolutely ridiculous. We tried to reschedule as soon as we knew those dates were not going to work for us and you would not have been out a dime, as you would have had ample time to rent it to some other family. I guess you really do not care at all, as you are not out a dime, either way.You may not have been able to double dip on our reservation, but you do for any other reservation that cancels with enough lead time to allow it. I have absolutely no sympathy for you not being able to do so in this instance.Whether a client buys the insurance or not, you keep the money. Let's be VERY clear about that...I am in the process of making a claim. It DOES NOT cover all of the fees related to the stay, just the rental of the location, so you get to pocket the money paid for services that were never rendered.Grossly unfair? Really? How about it being grossly unfair for your organization to take over ~$950 from us for doing nothing! I agree that you do not bank on travelers cancelling, but you do bank on them when they have to do it, in whatever context that occurs. You claim to be the highest rated rental company in the area, but if anyone reading this does the slightest amount of research, they will find that the only site that has you so highly rated is yours, and there are absolutely no negative reviews...wonder why that is?These people care nothing for working with their customers after the money has changed hands...deal with them at your own risk.
