We did not make good use of the Hakone 3 day pass, our fault completely as i booked the wrong start date. Even so, the pass is really only good value if you do a full round trip (train, bus, ropeway, boat) each day. We came from Odawara so could have used it for the first and last travel leg, if I had got the date right!
