So i'm gonna be straight with the problem PyCharm is kinnda the worst IDE that may and maybe the worse one i had used it in my life. It has a great concept in the back but the optimization and the performance is the worst, it's really bad when i see that the ide is eating my ram more than Cyberpunk 2077 but the difference is that Cyberpunk works much but too much better than this IDE. Just imagine i have to wait like 10 minutes for a stupid bytecode programming language which is python to compile. I know that python is bad when it's about speed but don't use the same way of thinking for the IDE. Besides that i'm not using a russian cpu too so do something about the performance and the optimization. Such a great tool and you make it so bad.

After many years of use and with the last (expensive) hike in price I have decided to move away from Jetbrains product suite. Constant problems with indexing where attributes are not recognised (angular). The issues are always there and hard to resolve with each update. I have moved to vscode where I'm not having to debug the IDE and its free.

Experience with the IDEs

My experience for being a developer for years was a blessing for me. I started using Android Studio, which is based on IntelliJ. Eventually, I switched to IntelliJ itself for Desktop software development, and as of now, I do C++ programming in CLion. Best IDEs out there. I also eventually used PyCharm and Rider, due to certain things that I had to follow at work. However, the reason for giving 4 stars is due to IDE management. Basically, I am referring to multiple IDEs, which each IDE has a different use case, like IntelliJ for Java, CLion for C/C++, Rider for C#, and the list goes on for different IDEs. If there was an IDE from them that actually combines all IDEs into one, then I am getting it, since I have different needs for specific projects. Main reason is, when I have to use 2 languages for one project, where I use Java as the main language, with the use of IntelliJ, and C++ for JNI by using CLion. Now, for a PC that only has 16 GB of RAM, this gives me quite a few limits here, and I don't like to have to install plugins, just to have to use IntelliJ for everything, especially when CLion does things better for C++ coding. In general, IDEs from JetBrains are good for use than VS Code with a million plugins that you have to install, where with JetBrains IDEs, you have the IDE already set up. Managing IDEs, it's not the best, but it's okay. Using multiple IDEs at once, and having a browser open, that's where my PC is starting to beg for resources being freed.

While they might be expensive if you live in a lower income country the tools are some of the most pleasant and hassle free I have ever used for programming. Which often is the reason I decide to keep my subscription active. I would recommend them, but also research them yourself. The best parts outside the IDE's are the perpetual fall-back licenses and the up to 40% discount you can receive from them for being a long term customer.

The tools they release every year seem to be progressively laggy. Trying to use multiple studios simultaneously is virtually impossible, as they consume all the available memory on your computer. I've also experienced constant issues with lost indexes. Additionally, their licensing system is not user-friendly. I have a license from my company and a private one; since I use two different studios, I'm constantly having to log in and out when switching between them.

Bugged PyCharm Community Edition But Fast Developer Response.

Hi,I noticed a few annoying bugs in PyCharm recently.1. While opening the project folder, a new folder created in Explorer doesn't appear in the PyCharm window.2. Newly created files like Github Readme don't appear in files and dir structure. I managed to solve these problems by restarting PyCharm but this is a 1-star service for me with these bugs.----------EDIT:Hi,JetBrains replied to my review one day after posting it assuring that they are working on solving reported problems.I find that a 5-star service because although PyCharm has some bugs the developer cares about customers and works on customer satisfaction from their products.Thanks.

Best PHP software when working

Using phpstorm since years. Actually a great software, but since weeks a main functionality is completly broken for me. Doesn't let me work on my home machine. The support is not really helpful:issue ->WI-73193 (long ago reported on twitter as well)Also they don't implement stuff, that is requested by many since 15 years: issue -> WI-421They give me no other choice than switching software or using cracked version (not going to pay anymore, till it's fixed).Upadate: the software got fixed and is now again the best in the market.

Unfair company trying to charge more than displayed

Products are fine (I use phpStorm from time to time) but their commercial policy sucks. For instance, if you're a freelancer working as a sole trader, then you can buy licenses at a discounted price. If you're a freelancer working under your own company, privately-owned, no other shareholders, no staff or whatsoever, then you pay way more.If you bought the "personal" license, which according to their policy can be used for commercial purposes too, then they refuse to provide you with a compliant VAT invoice, and kindly offer to upgrade to their "company" license which is nothing more than the same product at a 250% price level. I get they are trying to differentiate their pricing depending how deep your pockets are, but they are using the wrong parameters to classify their customers. I hate this kind of practices, and will gladly buy from a competitor instead.

Using pycharm all the time

Using pycharm all the time. Dislike that they put VAT over the price.

This company does not respect you

This company does not respect anything, removes your annual reduction of 40% on the price overnight under a false pretext and without having asked for anything! No possibility of negotiation with closed customer support that makes you understand that it is like that, and that you have to pay full price, even if you have been a customer for 4 years.
