I ordered an Arzum OK001 OKKA Turkish Coffee Machine from Joom on 8 November for £261.09. After several days of waiting, I was shocked to receive a cancellation notice on 12 November—no reason, no apology, just a sudden termination of my order. But what truly made this experience feel like a scam was what came next.Upon checking Joom’s website, I discovered that the same coffee machine had been re-listed at £325.04—a significant price increase from what I initially paid. It’s hard to see this as anything other than an intentional, unethical tactic to cancel orders and relist products at higher prices, exploiting customers who were already committed to a purchase.Adding insult to injury, I was informed that my refund wouldn’t be processed until 26 November—meaning I would have to wait two full weeks to get my own money back from an order they canceled! Why should they hold onto my funds for so long? It felt like they were deliberately holding my money hostage without any justifiable reason.When I reached out to customer support, I hoped for clarity or, at the very least, a faster refund. Instead, I was met with vague, scripted responses. "We’re checking the information" and "we’ll get back to you within 24 hours" were the only responses I received. Days went by with no real follow-up, just empty promises and generic answers that showed zero intention to actually resolve my issue.Why This Feels Like a Scam:1. Unexplained Cancellation: Joom canceled my order without any valid reason, raising suspicions from the start.2. Price Manipulation: The exact product was re-listed at a much higher price, making it look like Joom and their sellers are exploiting customers through deliberate price hikes.3. Unreasonable Refund Delay: I was told my refund wouldn’t arrive until 26 November, a two-week delay that feels completely unjustified.4. Unhelpful, Scripted Customer Support: My repeated attempts to resolve the issue were met with scripted, vague responses that lacked accountability or genuine concern.Conclusion:This experience with Joom has been nothing short of a nightmare and feels like outright scamming. Delayed refunds, sudden price hikes, and unresponsive customer support all point to a business that lacks transparency and integrity. I strongly urge potential customers to avoid Joom—their practices feel unethical, and their disregard for customers is appalling. Save yourself the frustration and do not trust this platform with your money.

The support team was always quick to respond and was extremely helpful. They were able to track my order for me despite not being able to sign into my account. They helped me find my package when I thought it was lost. personable emails which is clearly written by a person and I appreciate that person a lot.
