I bought a flight for my partner and I tha is leaving in two days time
The flight is still processing so I asked what my options were as I urgently needed to get home
I was told i might not get a ticket in time for the flight ! So I asked if that happens id get a refund
I was told not from tomorrow
So I tried to cancel it today an now the cancellation is being processed which means if it isn’t processed by tomorrow i won’t get a refund at all
What kind of corporation would make it impossible to cancel your flight and get refunded because they are the ones taking so long to process everything! I am so angry about this it is daylight robbery
Worst customer service ever
It’s been 3 weeks since I first asked customer service for a payment link for 2 extra suitcases in Iberia, and honestly, I’m exhausted. They send links that expire and with no information, they never respond promptly, and you're always left waiting 8 to 12 hours for a chat reply. It’s a shame because the platform has great prices, but it's not worth the time and stress just to travel in peace. I don’t recommend it!

Horrible company! I booked a flight with kiwi.com and 24 hours before my flight I could not check in and when I called kiwi.com they told me that I purchased a ticket that I was on Stand-by and they did not have a seat for my husband and I. They said that all ticket saver tickets work that way. I needed to pay an extra $1000 to get a seat. Since my cruise was leaving the next day I had no choice but to pay. When I went to the airline counter they told me that there are no such things as stand-by tickets. These tickets are only for employees of the airlines. They said that kiwi.com had a horrible reputation for doing this and that I did in fact have a seat on the plane. When I returned home I called kiwi.com to complain and wanted my money back. They were rude on the phone and hung up on me. No where on my ticket confirmation did it say I was on Stand-by nor did it say in the Terms and Conditions.
Your service is really fully comprehensive...from proposing the flights I was looking for (for the best prices)...to taking care of completing our online check-in...to offering and following up on connection flights when we suffered disruption. I really am totally converted to using the services of this company for all my future travel needs.
I tried to book an internal flight in Japan assuming that the ticket would be confirmed immediately. Almost 24 hours later and Kiwi says that they cannot confirm the ticket due to "technical issues" between them and the carrier and they can only issue a 90% refund. I have requested a 100% refund as I need to book connecting flights as well but they keep sending me the same system-generated message. AVOID THIS SITE LIKE THE PLAGUE AND DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.
The wait time was only 10 minutes when I called. She was polite, very helpful, and assisted me effortlessly. She reassured me not to worry, and so far, everything has gone well. I have just begun my journey from Chinia Greece to the United States Norfolk Va with four stops. I will not hesitate to provide an update on the final outcome of my travel experience.
This is a deceptive company. We were ready to check in for our flight, per email from Kiwi, and after trying for 1.5 hours to check in via their app, plus the actual airline we were traveling with, nothing would work. Finally made a phone call to Kiwi and somebody miraculously answered the phone. She told us in order to get our boarding passes, we needed to pay an additional $150. We were shocked as nowhere in any emails when we purchased our tickets from them, did they say we owed anymore money. Needless to say, you are held hostage by Kiwi to pay the additional fees, as you need to get back to your destination. We lost 3 hrs of our vacation time that we were going to do something, as we spent that much time trying to log into accounts and on the phone with their rep. I will never, ever use this site again. I would expect a refund back of our $150.
I cancelled my London (LGW) – Marrakesh (RAK) booking on January 2nd, less than 24 hours after purchasing the tickets. We had also paid extra for baggage.
I was informed that the refund process could take up to 14 days. Instead, I waited over a month, exactly 54 days, repeatedly following up for updates, only to eventually receive a generic message stating that the carrier could not provide a refund. No detailed explanation or breakdown was provided.
As a result, we have lost £261.38 and the most disappointing is the lack of transparency and the excessive delay. Cancelling within 24 hours of booking should not result in over a month of uncertainty followed by a brief rejection with no clear reasoning.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and reflects very poor handling of a straightforward refund request.
Please stay away Kiwi!
I didn't appreciate their lack of transparency on refund request. I requested a refund for a flight that had 4 legs. They issued a 50% refund on leg 1, minus a fee, and then informed me the other 3 legs were non refundable.
I followed up several times in the month and a half between these two decisions, informing them I believe they had not requested the other 3 legs as an oversight. I still believe that is what happened. They stated they would show me proof that they requested it, but later denied willing to do it.
Kiwi is not terrible overall, but they are terrible at this.
Edit: I will update with Kiwi's actions on this item if they actually do anything.
