I live in Wexford, and this wasn't my first time using this company. I previously had a skip which was dropped off and collected very efficiently. This time however, I opted for the 'truck'. The staff in the office, Aoife and Jordan, were incredibly helpful and informative and I was able to ring anytime for advice. I had a huge amount of rubbish to clear, so I knew I needed the truck. The truck arrived on time, and both Tommy and Sean jumped out like two Marines and worked with incredible speed. Very friendly guys who worked like two Trojans! Nothing was too much for them and they went out of their way to help. The truck was filled to the brim. All done and dusted in FORTY MINUTES!! From beginning to end, this was a very smooth run, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Delighted!!
Very Bad Customer service! I originally ordered a large skip for delivery on Friday 1st of August, (Payment upfront of course) not only was it not delivered, nobody bothered to call or message me to give me a reason why. I contacted Customer service the following Tuesday, to be told that they didn't know why it wasn't delivered, and assured me that it would be delivered promptly that day, which was totally unsuitable as nobody would be on site to fill the skip. I postponed delivery until Today, Thursday 28th August, got booking confirmation message this morning saying delivery might take til 8pm! Tried ringing Customer service earlier, no reply, eventually got hold of someone in a call centre who said they could see that the skip was due to be delivered, but didn't know why it hadn't. I will be contacting Customer service tomorrow to demand a refund, I'm considering taking a small claims case against them for damages caused by breach of contract, trying to move house is stressful enough without companies letting you down.
We had 3 sheds and a derelict house to empty that had been used to store stuff for decades. The guys from Kollect did an excellent job. They were really hard working and left the place looking great. In total 6 full truck loads were removed over 3 days. A fantastic job. Highly recommend Kollect for rubbish removal.
I looked for a quote for a 6 yard skip after a house clear out. Got a phone call from them shortly after and I explained that I had approx. 40 bin bags (not all full to capacity) plus old goal post, coffee table etc. Have hired skips before (not from this company) so I knew what I needed. Sales guy on phone pushed me to go with what he called 'the man with the van' instead. It worked out more expensive than the skip I wanted but he told me that it would also take electrical items which I had known wouldn't be possible with the skip. The electrical items were not a deal breaker for me as I had planned to bring them elsewhere but I thought it would be worth the extra money to include them and get rid of all in one go. I asked clearly and repeatedly if the van would take the same amount as the skip - he said if I ordered the 'quarter van' it would be the same. He said it was a big lorry and would 'compact my materials'. Went ahead with it on his assurance and on the day a regular looking furniture van shows up. Straight away the 2 guys tell me that there's no way they could take all of my rubbish. I am left with approx. 15 bin bags still to get rid of. They were nice guys and it wasn't their fault but they 100% agreed that if I had ordered the skip it would have held all of the rubbish. One of them expressed frustration that the staff on the phone are not explaining the difference between the van and skip to customers. I'm out €380 (again, dearer than the skip would have been) and still have 15 bin bags to dispose of. Not to mention my own labour of spending days sorting my rubbish into bin bags to make it easier for the guys to put it in the van and had it all arranged on my front drive for them. I wouldn't have had to do any of that if I got the skip - I could have just thrown all in as I went along. I don't recommend this company, I think they are deliberately dishonest in promoting the more expensive van option over the skip option.
