Review Time
Unfortunately a very simple process was made extremely stressful. Ordered and paid for a skip on Tuesday 27th May for delivery on Thursday 29th May (2 day hire). Skip arrived and the driver refused to drop it in the lane at the back of my house and said he would return with a smaller truck. That afternoon same sized truck DAF LF 12 tonner turned up and the same issue occurred. I rang Kollect and spoke to the person I booked the skip with to be reassured he would arrange a van to collect the shed wasted next morning between 09:00 and 11:30. Nothing came and I spent the day ring the office for no one to return a call. At 18:30 I was informed the van wasn't coming and they would be with me next morning at 09:00. at 09:45. I received a call from the van driver that he was on his way but would ring me back if there was more waste that he would expect (what volume he was expecting I haven't a clue) and there would be additional charge. He rang back 20 minutes later to inform me there would be an additional charge. After a very frustrating phone which I asked them to leave the waste and I would request a refunded, the waste was loaded onto their van. A photograph was take of the quarter full load.From start to first a really poor service and I would advise anyone to avoid the Kollect service.
My second time using Kollect…. Deco & team collected from Broadale, Douglas… spoke with Shauna on phone to arrange, who was so so helpful & friendly, giving good advice… Deco & team very efficient, arranged a time with me before hand & again very helpful while doing the removal…
I live abroad and needed some broken furniture collected from my Dublin home - I found Kollect online and from the first call from Jerome the process was easy. They were helpful, always available for my many queries and three days later the item has been collected for what I think is a very reasonable amount.
Really disappointed. Used Kollect years ago to remove a trampoline and it was a great service. This time wanted to get rid of two old sofas . My collection date was postponed late in the evening 3 times and I eventually cancelled. Expecting my deposit back in the next few days. Van driver said they had breakdowns and also had a driver out sick. It's not the drivers fault but obviously Kollects infrastructure can't support business needs. Won't be using you guys again
