Asking Lancashire Double Glazing Group Ltd to build an extension to our property was the worst decision we have ever made. We experienced problems from the outset and the “guarantee” they offered proved to be worthless. After Lancashire Double Glazing made around 24 visits to inspect/attempt to repair ongoing leaks to the roof we eventually had to seek redress through the courts for breach of contract. They failed to turn up for the mediation appointment arranged by the court, failed to follow the directions of the court, and failed to attend the court hearing. Needless to say, we would not recommend having any dealings with this company.
Having recently purchased a new front door and windows from Lancashire double glazing for the front of our house I have to say I was highly impressed with the product and the consultant who dealt with our orderThe consultant never pressured me in any way to get a sale in fact he was extremely helpful with his knowledge and advice about what would suit us best.Everything arrived and was fitted to a high standard on time …we are delighted with our windows ….thanks again
Really disappointed in this company turned up to build a 4mtr bifold opening and installation to my home and said on the day that they had to move a radiator that wasn’t picked up in the survey so wanted another £200. Then after install I’ve had the door for 16 months and the drop/up rod bolts failed in the door and they came and fixed it within 3/4 days then 24 hours later rang me looking for over £100 saying it was no longer in warranty. Firstly they gave me no opportunity to get alternative quotes and secondly I had to remind them of my rights under the consumer rights act 2015 ie a product having a life expectancy and it is most certainly not 12 months I’ve investigated this and generally locksmiths say a lock should last a minimum of 7 years! This isn’t a bad company elements of it are excellent, the two guys that built the opening were superb but be wary of what you’re entitled to and don’t be rode rough shot over by people trying to make a fast buck. Just in the process of getting another 4m bifold for another area of my house and following this I’ll be going elsewhere 😡
