We could not be any happier LDG did an amazing job and would recommend to anyone . They custom made a roof lantern which looks stunning and a quirky window also. The price was really reasonable and the job was done very quickly and excellent quality. Friendly helpful staff very easy to talk to. Just really pleased with the end result. 😀😀😀
Cannot fault this company. Was a breeze from start to finish. The installation was fast with regular updates from the office to the very efficient fitters fitting good quality windows and doors. Neighbours have already asked who fitted this.
I Have just used lancashiredoubleglazing again for the third time now purely because of the quality of their product and standard of work . I also recommended them to my sister .. who’s had a lovely conservatory fitted by them … she is absolutely delighted with it ! 😊👍
Just recently have had an install by Lancashire Double Glazing - what can i say……… Amazing. From my first visit from the sales consultant, right through to the installation and the outstanding fitting team that installed my new garden room. 10/10 amazing thank you so much for a great job.
We had new doors and windows gutters and boards (full house) installed by Lancashire Double Glazing. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I have detailed some of the issues we had. The company was slow to address the issues and communication was poor. Damage was caused when the work was being carried out. The sky box, landline, metal arch in the garden all had to be replaced at our cost I have listed below some of the issues we had. It is hard to explain how much stress this cased us. 1) The front door. ¼ inch gap under front door where insects crawled under and into the property. The door rattled in the frame, due to ill fitting. Non branded lock was fitted to the door. This allows wind and damp to come through the hole. Wind came under the door and we had to block this using a blanket, and buy insect powder. 2) 3 holes around the property where birds nested all summer. Front of the house, back and gable end. One hole was underneath the front bay upstairs window. This hole was put in underneath the bay window by the two who came to do the job to see how to remove the old trim. They never succeeded in doing so and we were left with the old piece. One side of the upstairs bay window was 1 inch longer than the other side. Above the bay window adjoining the house next door was a short piece of board and gutter, they said they could not replace this even though we had paid for this. 3) All doors and windows had gaps underneath on the outside where they had not sealed. This took 2 months after completion to be addressed. This allowed a lot of damp to get in under both doors and windows. After sealing the damp came out indoors as black mould. This was pointed out when we had a second fitter to come out and give his opinion, he also mentioned the lock in the front door was an unbranded one. The sealant used is cream in colour and not mould resistant. 4) The trim at the back patio door is damaged. We were told by the installation manager that we had caused this by placing a dining chair on it. We did not even have those chairs at the time and it has since been proven that if we had, the chair would hit the window before the leg of the chair comes anywhere near the trim. Outside above the patio door, we noticed a crack of about 1 foot long in the brick work which the installation manger said was nothing to do with them. We beg to differ. We saw the violent way the old door frame was removed. (The installation manager showed us a picture taken by the phone of the surveyor) from about 8 metres stood back in the garden. He said it was there previously, neither of us could see that on the smallest phone picture you could imagine. 5) The mould inside at the bottom of the doors and windows was the result of cooking in the house according to the installation manager. At this point my husband told him to get out of the house. We have not been offered any form of compensatio or apology, for the distress or damage caused to us. We suggest you do not go anywhere near this company, I gave one star to enable me to do the post. Pity there is not a minus option.
I would not recommend this firm The workmanship was horrendous along with problems with the product. The company had to come back four times to fix a long list of problems at my insistence. The issues were: damaged window frames, damage to our own window sills on installation, cat flap fitted incorrectly (it was flush to the floor), uneven and unsightly sealant, mastic on carpet, threshold to door bent under foot with a loud cracking noise, kitchen sill ill fitted, uneven, and chipped. The one window sill we had fitted in the kitchen leaves water marks and a number of the windows were stiff to open and close. These were some of the problems we experienced. We are still experiencing problems with LDG and now considering legal action.
