As a new customer to lexham they handled my enquiries and new policy process with professionalism and sent paper policy as requested next day .will definitely deal with them again although their setting up fee not cheap it was still the best deal around .
My son took out a policy on Thursday morning with Lexham and his circumstances changed so we requested to cancel it through the portal and by email about 2 hours later. We lost our deposit of £76.00 and had to pay another £30.00 as Lexham said the amount paid did not cover the time he was with them! I did receive paperwork by email but if they had responded earlier to our request, this was not necessary.A company to be avoided at all costs.
I'm pretty sure this company does dodgy practices and is a scam. If any changes are made to your circumstances, they will force you to cancel your insurance so that you lose your year's no claim bonus, even if it's a minor change, for some reason they are not able to amend, charge you more would be fine, but no, you have to cancel, which is unfair as people's circumstances can change, but doesn't mean you force them to cancel, with threats of invalid insurance. I have had to lose my NCB because they will not amend.
A company of jerks. For 3 years ncb, I still had a lot more to pay for my insurance for my new motorbike, even though the older one had a bigger engine and less safety measures, and the insurance was cheaper. The thing is, they haven't requested proof of ncb when I signed and pay the insurance, but only after several months. They gave a 7 day notice to send them the proof, otherwise they will cancel my policy. It happened to the worst moment, while I have been away in holiday, where I have poor internet or no internet at all. They could at least try to call or give a longer notice...
