They treat your money as their own and refuse to make a payment even if you insist its to a family or friend at your risk, then you have to go through security with them which when you actually do get through to someone they hang up ! the account is then suspended 😤. Wasted so many hours on the phone to these jokers I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.....

A cautionary tale about the department. It took me three years to find the courage to share my experience regarding the Account Opening Centre. I strongly advise against joining this team, as many have faced mental health issues due to a controlling individual. The work environment is chaotic, with personal relationships affecting professionalism. Mistreatment is common, and many are afraid to speak up. It's disheartening to see talented individuals sidelined due to favoritism. I hope for better conditions for everyone affected and encourage those still there to leave.

A disappointing experience with the bank

A disappointing experience with the bank. As a self-employed individual, I had two overdrafts with them and always paid on time. They abruptly closed one as soon as funds were deposited. This evening, they removed my other overdraft without any prior notice or discussion. This is an appalling way to treat a loyal customer for over 20 years. I'll be looking for services elsewhere after this experience. Thanks to the staff for this lovely new year surprise. How thoughtful of you. 😡

Extremely frustrating banking experience

Extremely frustrating banking experience. They randomly block access to funds without any notification, and I get passed around endlessly without any logical resolution to simple issues. Communication is tedious, often involving automated systems. There's no 24/7 support anymore, which is appalling; basic assistance is now limited to a subpar text messaging service. Long wait times for responses, and rarely the same employees follow up, which resets the process. It took me hours and multiple calls just to resolve a blocked card issue due to a simple online purchase. The banking system has become unreliable and frustrating, treating hardworking customers poorly. It's disheartening to see the banking industry decline.

Unpleasant customer service experience

The customer service representative in the branch was overly aggressive as soon as I entered. I knew where I needed to go and didn’t need that. An elderly man nearby mentioned he preferred speaking to a person instead of using machines and felt intimidated by the staff. The representative then rudely interrupted, making the situation worse. When it was my turn, I deposited cash but was told they no longer issue receipts. I was also informed that I couldn't pay towards my credit card there and had to go through an appointment system. This branch has a poor attitude, lacking basic courtesy. I will avoid this location in the future.

A positive outcome in the end

At 85 years old, I find it challenging to adapt to the new payment system at the cash point. I don’t understand why the company has stopped allowing payments through the helpful staff at the desk. However, a very kind gentleman named Kev quickly resolved my issues, and I am grateful for his assistance.

Declining service quality

The bank is declining in quality. This is the second time I've had to contact customer service regarding issues. Initially, I requested a new Visa Debit Card for an account, but they sent cards for both accounts instead, along with unnecessary new PINs. Today, I received a letter stating I hadn't used my Visa Debit Card, but my statements show multiple transactions. This is the second complaint I’ve had to raise due to ongoing issues, and I need someone to investigate this. I received an apology for the first error, but now I’m left wondering about the incompetence and lack of proper service.

Access problems and unsatisfactory support. I had to reset my password and memorable information to access my accounts, and now I must wait a week for a code. When I called for help, I was treated condescendingly, and the representative was unhelpful, merely repeating information from their website. I will be pursuing legal action due to missed payments for essential needs. I plan to close my account as soon as I regain access.
