Having received my Falkland smock, I just wanted to write a few lines to try and convey just how outstanding the quality of Lockwood’s clothing and service actually is.
I absolutely ‘get’ what Jacob is trying to achieve, he wants to recreate the golden era of British manufacturing and produce garments that genuinely last year upon year. He sees it how previous generations saw it, when they insisted on buying British-made, because it meant high quality and longevity.
Purchasing and receiving my smock has been a unique experience in itself-the messages from Jacob that convey his genuine appreciation for people’s custom, the amazing packaging, the stand-out quality of the smock itself…it all made the buying experience something very special indeed for me and that’s exactly what I was hoping for.
Real quality isn’t cheap, it never will be because it has to reflect the manufacturing costs and ability to actually make a profit. No one really appreciates that properly until they run their own business, (as I do, and it’s hard graft to be successful and make a living).
For me personally, the back story of Jacob, as an ex-squaddie, getting his dream and vision off the ground and making it a reality was a big part of me wanting to support Lockwood but the exceptional quality and finish of the kit now it’s arrived has confirmed I made the right choice!

Wow!!! What a great product. Looks great on is a great coat for keeping warm and able to vent as well. It’s pricey, BUT you can see where the money is spent the moment the courier drops it off. I will be buying more products from the company, but am content it’ll be 10+ years until I need to look at another smock. Thanks team for the product and customer service. Tony.
Jacobs dedication, passion and communication is excellent.I ordered the vintage Henry wax smock but alas it wasnt right for me in size, but what a beautiful garment.I was very impressed that Jacob refunded my money and trusted me to keep the smock and return it when i attended the British Shooting Show at the NEC.I cant fault the product or service
