We bought the Loghouse Kilkenny Garden Log Cabin last year. We absolutely love it.Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. are very transparent in terms of pricing. Every item is separately priced in their brochure, listed in their order form, etc. We opted for the 6m x 4m sized version. It included premium living type doors and windows, steel roof tiles, 50mm floor insulation, damp-proof membrane and a weathering package.We also selected the following upgrades: cabin assembly, time frame and block foundation, 100m roof insulation, external insulation and shiplap cladding, and gutters and downpipes.We encountered one problem: We included their recommended electrician - Willprom Electrical - in our Order/Booking but only a week before the time arrived for the installation, Willprom Electrical told us that they would not travel to Wexford (as they are based in Dublin) unless we paid them additional money for travel. We had not budgeted for that extra cost, and the late notice of this meant that we could not get the electrics installed at the same time as the cabin! This caused us a lot of stress and upset- to the point that we were going to pull out altogether and look for our deposit back.However, we decided to go ahead and are delighted that we did. The two young men who attended to prepare the site and build the cabin - Tomas and Mindaugas - were very mannerly and courteous. They took off their shoes when entering the house, tidied up after they finished work each day, etc.They were very efficient and hardworking – working long days and taking only short breaks.They consulted with us when a few issues or options arose. They really were exceptional workers. The doors and windows of our cabin are double glazed and of high quality. The cabin is sturdy. It withstood the various weather storms we endured throughout last Winter 24/25. We originally used it to store furniture, etc. following a house move. We got a local electrician to install lighting and electrics. We added our own laminate flooring. What was stored there over the Winter did not get damp or mouldy. We ran a little heater in it at times over the Winter but find that we don’t need the heater over the Summer. We now use it as a den for all recreational and relaxing activities – playing music, card games, reading, exercising, little gatherings over the Summer, etc. It looks lovely at the end of our garden. We are thrilled to have it. We would highly recommend Loghouse/EcoHouse Developments Ltd. for the purchase and installation of a garden cabin.
I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Loghouse.ie. I ordered a barrel sauna in September 2024, but the unit delivered and built was entirely different from what I had ordered. I also paid for a stove, which was never delivered. I was forced to supply and install one myself to make the sauna usable, yet I was never reimbursed or refunded—despite having paid in full for a stove that Loghouse failed to provide.Key Issues:- The sauna was the wrong size and layout, not matching the specifications in the contract.- The stove and chimney that were initially provided were off-brand, different from the make and model specified in the contract, and lacked the legally required CE certification. Loghouse later removed that non-compliant stove but never followed up with the correct unit as agreed in the contract. Nor did they issue a refund or reimbursement for the stove I had paid for but never received.- Broken and chipped timber boards were used in the construction, with visible damage poorly patched with filler afterwards.- The wrong external door was supplied, and the internal sauna door doesn’t meet manufacturing standards or close properly.Despite these major issues, Loghouse refused to meet me on-site or take my phone calls, insisting on communicating solely through email only. After three months of back-and-forth emails, they eventually agreed to fix the problems and provide a partial refund. However, they failed to follow through on either commitment and have since ignored my correspondence.Loghouse has consistently broken Irish and EU consumer laws, and their refusal to address these issues or honor their contractual obligations is unacceptable.I have given them every opportunity to rectify the problems, but they have left me no alternative but to leave this review as a warning to others. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Proceed with caution if considering doing business with them.UPDATE APRIL 2025: After I posted the above review on google in Jan 2025, Loghouse reached out and promised to address the issues and provide a partial refund. I agreed to their proposal in good faith, despite it being the same offer they had previously made but never followed through on.Unfortunately, after accepting, I have been ignored once again. I’ve sent several follow-up emails which have received no reply.To date, none of the agreed remedial works have been completed, no refund has been issued for the stove that was never delivered, and no communication has been provided. This experience has been consistently frustrating and disappointing.I truly dislike leaving negative feedback. However, I feel I have been left with no choice —Loghouse has demonstrated nothing but avoidance, delay, and a lack of professional accountability.Despite numerous attempts on my part to resolve the matter amicably—including offering to meet in person and providing detailed documentation—they refused to take my calls and insisted on email-only communication, which has ultimately gone nowhere.I’ve made every effort to give Loghouse a fair opportunity to make things right.I hope this review serves as a clear warning to others considering using this company. Proceed with caution.

I had this log cabin bought built and decorated in 3 weeks.It is highly insulates and so cosy ,Every one involved in the whole project was so helpful.The builders arived and had it installed in 3 days ,Left the property imaculate.I am absolutely delighted with it.Fantastic extra room.
This company from the get go the company was so professional. Communion was excellent. The workmanship was unreal and the pace they woked at was utterly magnificent. We got a 7 x 3.5m cabin. We bought the paint also at a great rate from the company. Even in the aftermath of such big project the tidy up was very thorough. I would highly recommend the Loghouse company, we can't wait to start using our new extra space!
I can highly recommend Log house. Excellent Service and Smooth running and installed at my schedule.Stephen went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly and was very Knowledgeable about the product. Denis was also very helpful when I needed questions answered.The groundwork’s team had everything at hand from day one of the initial groundworks and installation to run through the plans. The same applies to communication between the company and contracted plumber and electrician. 5 stars though.

would highly recommend the loghouse team. we were actually looking for a steel tech when bumped into Stephen and he, and team, could not have been more helpful from start to finish. from assisting with most suitable, and affordable, cabin to actually popping out to us to ensure the slope in the garden was not too great and yard suitable, we found the knowledge and service excellent. both the foundation and cabin building teams were very profession, friendly and amazingly efficient. we chose to use our own electrician and paint ourselves (which we regretted for a while) and were very much accommodated. And the after sales service, with aftercare manual and follow up call etc, was just as professional and surprisingly thorough. would highly recommend from start to finish and kids love their new hangout. We couldn't recommend LogHouse any more. From start to finish everything went smoothly . Ned and Paul who fitted were very helpful and courteous throughout the whole process . They answered all our queries and explained everything to us brilliantly. It was all done in 4 days and we couldn't believe how quick the cabin was erected. It came out beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the final result! We'd just like to thank the whole team involved as any email or phone call always seemed a priority.
Prompt easy service and super efficient installation crew. We had some complexity in our needs for both delivery and build. Everyone was very understanding and supported what we needed. Great Service and the cabin is very well built and looks beautiful.
