Excellent

Rep helped me find a new pair of boots for my wife. I sent pictures of her old Lucchese boots and she sent me 4 pairs that were comparable.

Beautiful Boots!!!

I have 2 pairs of ostrich lucchese’s I purchased from reseller locations. For my most recent lizard skin, I ordered direct because I loved the style and look but the reseller stores with these particular boots on display looked rough. So I was curious how much of a difference ordering direct would make. So glad I did!!! These boots were perfect in every detail, quality, and color...never worn or tried on so the color was perfectly uniform and has allowed them to break-in the way I wear them. This is the only boot brand I buy, for a reason. Very happy!

Classy boots!

Love these boots! The design, style and color are very chic. Plus they are comfortable, wore them all day at the Ft Worth Stock Show and had no issues. They fit true to size.

The Westheimer location in Houston is…

The Westheimer location in Houston is horrible. Service is terrible. Also you need to offer wider boots for women. C is not very wide.

Bad Experience

I originally purchased these work boots because of Lucchese reputation for hand making high quality boots. With that being said, after placing the order (my bad) I decided to call Lucchese and ask which location my boots were made, in Texas or Mexico. It really didn’t matter to me which place they were made because I am pretty confident that whichever plant they are made in the workers are compensated well and that’s the important thing to me. So I ask the question and the lady informed me that the workboots are made in China and that it’s a new product line for them. She then reassured me that they were not made in Wuhan and have strict quality standards and also that Lucchese supplies them with all the top of the line material. She also noted that all boots are then shipped back to America were they inspect every boot for quality and then they undergo another inspection in a separate facility... so I began to think about the cost involved with shipping material to China for the boots to be made and then the cost of them shipping it back to USA along with additional cost of quality control inspections... There’s no way these Chinese workers can be paid a decent wage. Aside from that I thought I was purchasing a hand-made quality boot made from generations of boot makers. I currently own (2) other pairs of Lucchese boots (non-work boots) that have stood the test of time and are of exceptional quality. These boots I received from China are Not that... the material seems to be good but the craftsmanship is definitely lacking. I decided to give them a try because it’s very difficult to find good quality work boots and they did in fact have the Lucchese name. The first day was ok although they didn’t have the feel of a true Lucchese boot. They did come with an extra set of insoles for wide or regular feet and since I’m right in between the two I figured I would give the wide insoles a try. Every time I removed my foot from the boot the insoles would squish up in the bottom of the boot and I would have to waste time trying to fit my large hands down in the bottom of the boot to straighten them out!I didn’t want to give up yet so I proceeded to wear these uncomfortable boots for an additional couple days. After about 4 days I couldn’t wear them anymore. I wish I could attach pictures to this review to show what these boots did to my legs and ankles. The top of the boots rubbed my skin raw and my ankles are blistered. The boots rub in all the wrong places. I’ve been working in the trade for over 25years now and have tried just about every American brand workbook available and even some from other countries and have never experienced a boot this bad. So even after all of that I typically would never leave a bad review I would just write it off as a bad personal experience and get a refund. This is where the problem is. Being that this is a new product line and they’ve only been producing high end boots up until now, the return policy states that the boots can only be returned if they are in brand-new / Mint condition. Keep in mind these are Construction Boots! If I walk around the job site for even 1 day to test them out they are no longer in “Mint” condition... I mentioned this to the nice lady from Lucchese of whom I was speaking to and she said that they have a very strict return policy and that I could maybe email them pictures of the boots and then they would consider whether or not it was worth while to try and return them. Unbelievable! These boots are less than a week old and are on the higher end of what work boots cost. The funny thing is, it’s not even really about the money, I would pay over a thousand dollars for a good quality work boot but the fact that they are made over seas and of lesser quality just like every other company does that lets greed come before quality you must also accept the down side of doing so which is a sub-par product and the occasional return.
