Review Time
My complaint is along the lines of the majority of people speaking here. After agreeing a payment of 85 euros online, £130 was taken without any notification. I've contacted my bank who have prevented any further theft from my account. I've also emailed these scammers for a refund but I'm not holding out much hope. When I was on the website tonight writing my email I noticed there was a further payment due to be taken of £149.99. How can they be stopped?
I paid 84p. Got a download for 211 pages of the refrigeration unit for my car and not owners manual. A few days later they took £130.85 from my account. I conracted the bank and they froze the account. I contacted manualsmate and they said they will email me today and the money will be repaid. Her's hoping
You'ld expect these manuals to download immediately, but that doesnt happen. I did see the mention of a 'subscription', when I see that all alarm bells go off in my head, so I cancelled immediately. I understand from other reviewers it might take up to 2 days for it to arrive. I thought in principle this might be a good service.
Do not use this company. I ordered a manual for 82p which arrived 2 days later, then a week later they tried to take an annual subscription of £130.40 which I new nothing about from my Barclaycard, which thankfully Barclaycard declined and have blacklisted them. Do not use this company, they are nothing but a bunch of scammers.
Total scam had to chase for manual when download finally arrived not the right one just thought 82p no great loss!!! They then tried to take £130.40 from my account which thankfully was picked up by Barclaycard fraud dept. I immediately emailed and cancelled acct as no mention of subscription on website, they did reply advising cancelled as goodwill gesture!!!! . Do not use
I ordered a manuel for my oven, price £00.95, over a week ago, never received it. Thus morning I received a text from my bank asking if I made a purchase for £129.69 at 00.23 at manuelsmatecom.Im on the phone to the bank now. Apparently Manuelsmate tried to take that money for a subscription, so be careful, I will not be going anywhere near this scam company again. Lessoned learned.
The site found the manual I required quickly and it was charged at a very good rate - under £1.00 and applied to my credit card on ordering. However, there was no reference to an ongoing subscription in the emails or website but within 48 hours a charge of £129.99 was made to my credit card which I had not approved. This was not advised by email and, had I not been checking at the end of month, I would probably not have noticed for some time.I am now pushing for a refund after cancelling my account. Their automatic systehas cancelled my Subscription for future payments (in 2 months) but their Customer Service team just said "tough we've got your money" Interestingly, since I making the purchase, I my Scam Website software has registered the Manualsmate.com as "potential scam"I suggest you avoid this operation
