The hotel was quite unpleasant despite having beautiful views. It felt so disheartening that one might consider jumping out of the window, but they don't fully open! I suspect that pet owners are given the worst views. Dog-friendly? Not really, as there were no beds or treats provided despite my payment for this service. The all-white bedding is hardly welcoming for a pet-friendly environment! If you have mobility challenges, good luck exiting your room as the lack of proper handrails and the constant up-and-down steps make it hazardous, even when using the small lift. Finding your room is a hassle; it took me an hour to locate mine. I was hoping for a relaxing stay after my hospital discharge on November 28th, but the hotel has really declined. They even offered rooms that were worse, with views of an unattractive rooftop and a flat roof with a parking lot. You’ll need a car to get anywhere unless you're quite fit.
My stay at the hotel was satisfactory for check-in and room quality. However, dinner was disappointing. After a long wait for our order, the soup was bland, and the main course was cold when it finally arrived. I spoke to the manager, who promised fresh food, but while the plates were hot, the food was still cold. I was at table five. Overall, the service left much to be desired; I may look for other options next time.
I stayed at a hotel in Durham, and while check-in and room quality were fine, dinner was disappointing. I waited 30 minutes for my order to be taken. The soup was bland, and the main course was late and cold when it finally arrived. I spoke to the manager, who ordered a fresh meal, but while the plates were hot, the food was still cold. I was seated at table five. Overall, the service was lacking, and I might consider a different place next time.
This feedback is regarding a stay at a hotel in Maidstone. On the second night, we couldn't sleep due to a noisy radiator. The spa was also disappointing; the area was unclean, and during our massage, the calming music abruptly stopped, replaced by drilling sounds, making it feel like a construction site. To make matters worse, the masseuse rushed through the end of the session, handed us water without asking us to sit, and essentially ushered us out, forcing us to drink while walking. The food was decent, but that’s the only positive. The steam room was unavailable, and we had to ask multiple times for our room to be cleaned and for basic refills like water and tea. This hotel seems more suited for families rather than couples. Overall, it did not meet expectations at all, and I wouldn't recommend it.
I stayed at a hotel in Exeter and was mistakenly charged a second time for a room I had already paid for. The corridors were littered with rubbish, and the room was quite small, barely adequate for one person, let alone two. There were cleanliness issues in the bathroom, and the breakfast was cold and poorly prepared. As I write this, I am dealing with an upset stomach. I feel that two stars is generous for this experience.
I had a booking canceled with a service in NYC and only found out three days later. The company did not reach out to me, and when I called for help, they were unhelpful, simply stating I would get a refund without any timeframe. There was no effort made to assist me in finding alternative accommodations as they had promised in their press release. Now, I had to rebook at a significantly higher price.
I made a booking at a hotel in Munich and shortly realized that the intended guest had already checked in the night before. I requested a refund less than an hour after booking, but they refused. It was early in the morning, and I’m sure they could have rebooked the room. Where is the customer service? I regularly book hotels for work, and I won’t be using this company again.
