I was really disappointed with the booking process. The listing clearly stated "All fees included," so I thought I was getting a final price with no hidden costs. However, when I reached the final page to reserve my hotel room, I was surprised to see taxes added on top of the price. If the listing is going to advertise an "All fees included" price, it should actually include all fees, not just the room rate. This feels like false advertising, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Make sure you’re clear about what’s included upfront!
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! If I could give ZERO stars I would. Member deals is the absolute worst company to new third party to deal with for Govx. Booked a hotel, showed up to a moldy room, stained carpets, a broken toilet, and a door that didn’t even lock to keep us safe. The hotel immediately refunded our deposit we just paid at the time of check in, and let us know they were refunding the stay so we could go elsewhere. Well 4 weeks later and STILL NO REFUND. We contact member deals to figure out what the hold up is, and get the response;“Thank you for contacting MemberDeals. I am writing to follow up on your previous inquiry regarding It is my pleasure to further assist you.We regret to inform you that we have been unable to secure an agreement from the property to any refund on this itinerary due to the customer's complaint regarding the poor quality of the hotel.However, as a one-time courtesy, Expedia Group is pleased to offer a 15% compensation amounting to 29.95 USD for the inconveniences caused. If you would like to accept this offer, kindly reply to this email.Thank you for choosing MemberDeals.” A measly 15% of the $200 hotel room. I contact the hotel directly to see what was going on with the refund and they confirmed they refunded the amount IN FULL back to member deals. So member deals has my full payment AND the refund from the hotel, but is refusing to refund me the money. They want me to get a formal approval to issue a refund via letter from the hotel. I live 8 hours away from the hotel on reference, that is physically impossible to complete. I don’t know how that is legal to accept a refund, accept a payment from a customer, and then REFUSE to refund the customer for a service that was not used or rendered to them. Do not use this company to book anything through Govx unless you like giving money away. Oh and the memberdeals customer service rep I spoke with was beyond rude. I asked to speak to someone else and was told “even if I connect you to a supervisor they will tell you the same thing.” EDIT: @ member deals response to this comment, I have already contacted customer service and provided the order ID. No help was given, only was told I must provide a formal letter. You guys are horrible.
I was able to save $50+ on a 3-night hotel stay compared to the lowest price I could find anywhere else. (I looked!)I wish that the prices were quoted WITH taxes/fees as others are starting to do. While I still saved over $50, it was not the savings the first pricing had me expecting.
