Do not buy!! Awful piece of furniture. Pieces of furniture came split and damaged, some parts of wood unpainted and after sending images to the company, the company told me this was the rustic look and the unfinished parts would not be seen 😡Will take 2 people more than the 90 minutes. Instructions are awful. Cheap and cheerful is an understatement.. save your money and the stress of 3-4 hrs and buy something that costs a more but is much better quality. This unit has more splits than a stage of cancan dancers. Really angry that we’ve accepted a £20 refund because since putting it together, it’s worse than we imagined.
We bought 3 various size bedroom drawer units, 2 of which went together perfectly. But the last one when we unpacked it, had 2 large cracks in the side panels, marks on drawer fronts & the front frame that houses the drawers was warped.
We contacted the seller & sent him photos before we put it together but explained that as we had thrown away our old furniture we would have to continue with the assembly but we were not happy with the quality.
The reply we got from Gary at Mercer's was very apologetic & 1 week later they delivered a brand new unit & took away the faulty assembly.
Having read some of the bad reviews we were very pleasantly surprised by the customer service & swift resolution.
We would also like to add that we are very happy with our new furniture & the price that we paid for solid wood.
We will definitely be using this company again.
We have just had a terrible experience with Mercers Furniture. Ordered their sideboard through Amazon. 2 of the panels snapped in half whilst trying to assemble and 3 pieces of the main components including the wooden top are bowed. We have tried everything to try and get them to come and collect and refund but we cannot fit the product into the original packaging as we had already started assembly. They will not assist and we are so unhappy with the service received. We just want the product collected, taken away and a regind issued. So dissatisfied.
