The delivery driver was very professional and approachable. His communication was excellent. We ordered an arbour, which I assembled without any issues. There were minor complications as some parts of the arbour seemed warped, likely due to being exposed to the elements. This wasn't a major concern for me since I have carpentry experience and was able to fix the issues, but it might be challenging for someone without the necessary skills and tools.
Delivery driver, Neil very professional and friendly. His communications were great. We had ordered an arbour which I put together without problem. Slight issues where the arbour parts had warped due I suspect having been stored out in the weather. Not really a problem for me as I am an experienced carpenter and I managed to rectify the problems but I guess would have stumped someone without knowledge and tools.
Please do yourself a favour and don't buya garden shed from Mercia. We bought our shed around three and a half years and it has had water ingress in all the walls since we have owned it.It has developed such bad water seepage in the roof, that the water is dripping down over all our things. We have treated the shed every year and done everything we should to make it good, but unfortunately, it is such poor quality that we are probably going to have to buy a new shed now.
I had a mixed experience with Mercia Garden Products. The main issue initially was delivery. I booked a day off work to receive the order, only to be told the evening before that it wouldn’t fit on the delivery truck as it was already full. I was advised it would be rebooked, but it hadn’t actually been scheduled, so a second delivery date came and went with no delivery. Third time lucky, it eventually arrived. The delivery driver himself was pleasant and helpful. I’d largely got over this disappointment, but the warranty registration process then caused further frustration. The warranty process is overly complex and unhelpful. I followed the treatment guidance and used two different products recommended by B&Q, yet customer service repeatedly told me these were not acceptable. I’m an average DIYer, not a professional carpenter, and can only reasonably use products available from mainstream retailers like B&Q. After multiple attempts, I’ve given up trying to comply as it has taken far too much time and effort for something that should be straightforward. I’m also aware I’m covered by consumer law regardless. The product itself looks nice overall, but several panels were bowed, which made assembly more difficult than it should have been. On the positive side, there were plenty of spare screws, which was helpful.Nice product in the end, but the delivery issues and particularly the warranty requirements significantly let it down.
