Everything went smoothly except for a couple of things: the setup is entirely self-service. The instructions are clear, but having some human assistance at the collection point would enhance the experience. My first connection attempt was in a rural area with weak signal and I couldn’t connect, but it worked perfectly once I moved to a town. A warning from the service would have been helpful. I would definitely use this service again.
Fantastic 4G LTE connectivity during my 14-day trip in Japan. I wish 5G was available, but I loved the generous 50GB data plan for 16 days. I did encounter some issues activating my eSIMs on the first day, which made me worried about wasting my money. One eSIM had incorrect APN settings, so I had to find a local SIM retailer at the airport for help. I also didn't receive the activation email for the second eSIM until 12+ hours after arriving in Japan, despite requesting it before leaving. I ended up reaching out to customer support for the activation email using the airport's Wi-Fi.
Having used this service before, I was not disappointed this time either. The setup on my phone was even easier, not just because I'm familiar with it, but because they have improved the process; it’s almost a one-click setup, with nothing complicated to remember or understand, just a QR code to scan.
