Quality wise Mochi is great. I bought the Cecropia Moth Cardigan and have had no concerns with the quality of the product. I CANNOT say the same about customer service, reliability, or handling.
Do not trust the deadlines they give. Many items that were meant to go out October of 2025 have been pushed back to summer or fall of 2026. I waited MONTHS for my moth cardigan and almost had it stolen when it did arrive. They use the worst possible shipping service and have little to 0 communication with the shipping service or you throughout the process.
Customer service is also terrible. They'd rather stalk themselves on reddit and here on trustpilot than actually respond to customer emails.
Do NOT spend the HUNDREDS of dollars Mochipan costs for shitty service and handling.
I absolutely adore my new Mochipan bag! I purchased the Higanbana bag, and it’s just perfect! Although it's a shoulder bag and relatively small, it offers ample space for everything I need during quick outings. It arrived in a charming drawstring bag featuring a Higanbana Lily pattern, which I’ve passed on to my sibling. The front buckles are merely decorative magnetic clasps, making it easy to open and access my items quickly—no more awkward moments digging for my wallet at the register! I could rave about this bag endlessly! One small note: I found the measurements on the website a bit confusing; they are accurate, but switching from cm to inches threw me off at first. I initially thought the bag was larger until I realized it was in cm. Not really a complaint, just a heads-up for others browsing the site.
I've received several pins and a jacket, and they never fail to bring a smile when they arrive. The quality is excellent, and the designs are always adorable. Whenever I've encountered an issue with my order or shipping, the owner responds promptly to discuss solutions.
I love Mochipan so much! I finally bought an item (the Higanbana bag) and it's so perfect! It's a shoulder bag so it's relatively small, but it still has plenty of space for any items I want to bring for quick outings. I was actually thinking the bag was too big at first until I saw it was in cm and not in. Not really a criticism, but just something to note for folks shopping around on the website.
Mochipan has been a business that I have gone back to for a good while now, and everytime I have bought from them they have not disappointed. The quality on all their pieces is stunning, and the love and craftsmanship can be felt in every piece. Big shoutout to the higanbana set specifically. I'm biased because it was my first purchase, but the double slit skirt is killer!I mean it when I say Mochipan has given me the confidence to love my body and embrace my natural beauty. The whimsical designs and willingness to make pieces brimming with colourful and eye-catching patterns is always appreciated. And their customer service team is incredibly responsive, always responding to me in a timely and orderly fashion. All in all, I can safely say I've had nothing but positive experiences with Mochipan and I look forward to continuing to support them in their future releases.Thank you for everything Mochipan!
I don't think that my title is hyperbole. I love this brand, I've been purchasing from them for at least a year and a half at this point, and I just want to say that if you're on this site trying to determine whether or not this brand is legit--it is. It's also so much more than that but thought I should put that in the first paragraph.I will say you should understand the business model before you buy. If you see a piece that is a pre-sample pre-order or something floating around the concepts page on Instagram and you buy it expecting it to get there the following week, you're going to be disappointed. Unless something is in-stock, it's going to take a bit to get to you, and even some of the in-stock things are in China which still takes a bit to ship. Make sure to look at the timelines on your specific piece before purchasing if it's time sensitive.The brand is also small, so there is a likelihood that some projects will be delayed which kind of comes with the territory. Sometimes this is due to supply-side issues (see: Tarrifs) and sometimes this is due to the "good" kind of quality issues (they will not ship a product that they are not 100% behind, so occasionally a delay will occur based on them requiring more edits of the factory).Putting this forward--yes the brand is not the cheapest in the world. They have a couple decent sales (Black Friday lucky bags!!!), but they also have a great Patreon discount which pays for itself if you're making a decently sized purchase in that month. However, the quality on this fabric is amazing. If you are a sensory person and you are wondering about the fabrics on things like the Cardigans--it's delightful. The little details are always well-done, and I feel like I do truly get what I pay for.One thing that I will say is that support with Mochipan is one of the easier interactions I've had. I've had packages lost, delayed, basically any bad scenario you can think of. You send an email to support and they're getting back to you in 24 hours, honestly probably like 4. It's a small company, they're really only a few people, but I'll keep buying from them as long as they keep sending things out. So if you ended up getting to the end of this and are still wondering if they're legit, yes, yes they are.
Every single piece of clothing I have ever ordered from this company has been wonderful and high quality. I get compliments everywhere I go, from people of all walks of life. I am not very confident in my looks, and I have generalized anxiety and issues with being in public, and thus I spent most of my life flying under the radar, dressing simple despite my love for fashion and fantastical clothing until about five years ago. In those five short years, no piece of clothing I've owned has ever made me feel as confident and as wonderful as Mochipan clothes have. The two moth cardigans I own are vibrant and soft, with beautiful silhouettes (I feel like a fairy when I wear these LOL). The Starry Dance Dress, while a little tight around the shoulders, sits perfectly on me and is so well-made!! Same with the Fall Spell dress, which has the most flattering & gorgeous shape ever. Their bags leave nothing to be desired - I purchased a pie bag for a friend, and have heard nothing but love for it, and my own moth purse is beautiful and solidly made!I have only needed customer support once, and it was to fix an error that was partially my fault (Shopify autofilled the wrong address, and I was moving too quickly through checkout to catch it - I also didn't notice it was wrong until it had already shipped). I was able to retrieve the package from the address it ended up at (it was a friend's address), and they offered me a gas credit to ensure I didn't overspend on transit. I didn't end up taking it but it was a very sweet gesture that has stuck in my mind ever since!In addition, I find that, as someone with a lot of shipping + preorder anxiety (i dont like unclosed loops), Mochipan's thorough and consistent transparency and updates on their pre-order processes is incredibly relieving! Pre-order updates are easily accessed on a public blog hosted on the website itself that's updated every two weeks. Most recently, I ordered from their Bakery collection released in October-ish, and I cannot stress how helpful and meticulous their updates on these pieces have been! The Mochipan staff are incredibly friendly and kind, and all clearly care deeply about the community they have built. I rarely ever find myself "brand loyal", but in Mochipan's case, I absolutely am.
Recently for Black Friday, I ordered a large size lucky bag from Mochipan. I also sent several emails to the Mochipan team to request they exclude several items and though they did not have to, they honored my request and excluded those items from the bag. When I followed up to ensure that they read my request correctly, Silver was quick to respond and explain. I got my bag in good condition and my money's worth for the value bag. The team also provides free shipping for their Patreon members and when I let Silver know that they had not refunded the proper amount, she apologized and got the remaining amount to me. Mochipan's designs and clothing are wonderful and worth the price and their team even more so.
Customer service was incredibly kind and friendly, and responded quickly! I am also very pleased with my order and have gotten many compliments on it :) My friend is obsessed with the shrug I ordered as well, so there is a very real chance of a repeat order in the future...
recently bought a black Friday lucky bag and I received a cute luna moth cardigan! It's another piece I'm happy to own! The materiel is completely different than normal everyday wear materiel and I absolutely adore it!! I wear it around my house too just for funsies, it's one of my favorites out of the 3 pieces I own. For sure worth the price for what you're getting <333
